7 Delicious Homemade Pancakes Recipes
Homemade pancakes are one of my family’s favorite choices when it comes to a hot breakfast family-style meal. When we make pancakes, we prefer to make them from scratch.
To keep things interesting, we change-up the recipes, ingredients and toppings that we use. Often times I’ll toss-into the batter some goodies that I have on hand like sliced fruits, chocolate tips or even maple syrup. Heck, my little granddaughter enjoys having M&M candies tossed into her pancake batter too!
Here are 7 Delicious Homemade Pancakes Recipes that we’ve shared with you over the past few years.
1. Mixed Berry Pancakes – This recipe uses a boxed mix, but you can certainly use homemade. If you’re a strawberry & blueberry fan, I think you’ll love them!
2. Homemade Potato Pancakes – Here’s a good old-fashioned recipe and if you’re looking to get more veggies into your diet…try a batch of these! The kids will never know that you added potatoes into the batter!
3. Oatmeal Chia Seed Pancakes – If you love pancakes, but looking for a healthier version to try…this recipe is for you! Lower in caloric content and super-easy to make.
4. Tropical Banana Coconut Pancakes – You’ll need rice flour to whip these up, but trust me, they’re worth the extra effort and a run to the grocery store. Perfect for those weekend breakfasts, when you have a bit more time to make them.
5. Maple Cranberry Granola Pancakes – One of the best things about these are that they’re really rich and filling. Eating these for breakfast will definitely hold you over until lunch time. We love the unique flavor combination too!
6. Coconut Flour Pancakes – A lot of people are making healthier choices when it comes to breakfast food. You’ll need coconut flour and coconut sugar to make them, then top with your favorite toppings.
7. Old-Fashioned Pancakes – My mom has been using this recipe to make pancakes for almost thirty years! Handed down to her by my grandmother, they’re a family favorite & totally made from scratch!
What’s really cool about making these recipes is that you can double-up a lot of them to make larger batches. You can then let them cool, wrap & freeze them for later use. I keep mine for 4-6 weeks and can use them on busy mornings as the kids are getting ready for school. Just quickly thaw in your microwave and pop them into a toaster oven, in a skillet or reheat thoroughly in your microwave before adding the toppings.
