From that midsummer night when you and your great aunt Victoria gazed from the garden gate of her country manor and saw Faerie lights blinking near the edge of the forest, you knew that you HAD to get close to one, to speak to one,

Geomag Magicube Magnetic Building Blocks

Geomag Magicube Magnetic Building Blocks

Geomag Magicube Magnetic Building BlocksI’m a mom to a 14 year old daughter and an 8 year old son. I’m one of those parents that believes kids sit in front of the TV  and on their electronic devices way too long. In our household those things are limited because we promote hands-on learning and creative play. Too many children are being exposed these days to the wrong things which affects their learning and social skills. From day 1 we have done things differently in our household and I’m pleased with the choices that we’ve made.

Geomag Magicube Magnetic Building Blocks

Over the years we’ve received several building sets from GeoMag that my children have loved. Not only have we reveiwed them but I’ve purchased them for my kids and to give as gifts to other children in our family. We love these classic and fun building sets that last for years! They can be passed down from one child to the next.

For this review we received the GeoMag Magicube Limitless Constructions Magnetic Building Blocks Set. It’s for the youngest of builders on your gift-giving list ages 1 to 5 years of age. The set comes with a total of 13 building pieces, including magnetic wheels. It’s made out of 100% recycled plastic, rubber excluded.

Here’s how it works. You get 13 pieces which includes 4 basic shapes and the wheels. On the box it gives you a few examples of the vehicles that you can build. A child can let their creativity flow by coming up with their own designs. Plus, you can purchase additional GeoMag Magicube Building Sets to add onto this set, so they can build even more designs.

This building set helps kids with their Fine Motor Skills, Learning by Playing and with their Creativity and Imagination. These are important learning skills that all children need. As parents we need to get them off the sofa, turn off those electronics and get them playing with classic toys like this! A child can build all on their own or with siblings/friends.

My godson is 4 years old and spends every Friday night at my home while his mother works. This set is the perfect building set for my 8 year old son and my 4 year old godson to build & play with together. They both can play without an adult assisting them. They can build different things each time they sit down and play with it. A different play experience each time keeps children engaged. These sets grow with your child!

Head on over to GeoMag World and check out all of the building sets that they have to offer. They’re a great gift to give children for their Birthday’s and for the Holiday Christmas season. You can connect with the company on Facebook and Instagram.

How to Play: There are 2 spaces on the board where actions take place: The Seek & Find Space and the Goldbug Card Space. Player uses the spinner and moves that many spaces on the board. Depending on which space they land will determine the action they need to take. For example: If you land on the Seek & Find Space all players draw a Seek & Find Card. They keep it face down until the player that rolled the space says to GO. Players look for the items on their cards. When a player finds the image from the card on the game board, the player points to the item and rings the bell.

When a player lands on the Goldbug Card Space the player draws a card from the Goldbug Card Deck and follows the instructions on the card. Those actions can include taking another player’s card, losing one of their own cards, move back a space and move forward a space.

My Thoughts: We’re a family of 4 and are always looking for new family-friendly games to play on our family game nights. We played this game last weekend with our kids (ages 13 and 7 1/2). It’s really easy-to-set up and it only took us 5 minutes to read over the instructions and start playing. The concept of the game is simple for children to understand. There’s nothing complicated about it.

We played the game 3 times that night and each time we played it took less than 35-40 minutes. We took our time with it. We really enjoy board games that don’t take HOURS to complete. My 7 1/2 year old son really ENJOYED this game. He had so much fun trying to find the items and to be the first player to ring the bell. My 13 year old enjoyed the game too since it was one that she could play with her brother (at his age level) that wasn’t boring. It’s a great game for families with multiple-aged children playing. It’s fun, exciting and fast-paced.
