When I was a little girl I used to assist my grandmother with her home canning activities. I believe I was around 10 years old when I was exposed to canning for the first time. After she passed my father-in-law picked up where Grandma left off. I’m not an expert canner by any means but I’m pretty experienced and I keep up-to-date on the trends.

In early December I was on the hunt for some new pint-size glass mason jars and picked up several 4-packs made by Ball. Why Ball? I’ve used several brands over the years but find Ball to be the most reliable. They don’t crack, chip or break easily. I’ve never had a Ball jar stain or discolor either!

So…what did I use them for? I made a double batch of my Aloha Pineapple Jam and presented my delicious homemade jam in these beautiful jars! You can use them for other things (besides canning) like wax poured candles, bath salts, etc. They’re dishwasher, freezer, refrigerator and canning safe!
I’m hoping that when Fall rolls around again that I can find this particular style of mason jars again. My jam looked beautiful inside! I can see using them for jam, jelly, marmalade, relish, pickles, candied fruits, etc. Absolutely perfect for anything you want to gift!

I like growing, harvesting, and preserving my own herbs and spices. After drying them out & preserving them I like to store them in the Tupperware Spice and Herb Containers. I purchased my set from Amazon and use them all of the time!

The Tupperware Spice and Herb Containers are dishwasher safe, refrigerator safe and freezer safe. They have a slim profile and will fit on most spice racks or store them in your kitchen cabinet. They’re space-savers because you can stack them on top of one another!
Each one features a dual opening lid which is easy to snap on and off. One side flips up so you can use it as a shaker and the other side flips up for pouring & measuring. Just snap them down when you’re done to keep your spices and herbs fresh.
Over the years Tupperware has made these containers with a variety of different colored lids. I own a set with blue lids and one set with green lids. They’re available in a small size and a large size. I recommend picking up some in both sizes. I like stacking a small one on top of the large one to save on storage space.
