My Thoughts: I have a 3 year old son and a 9 year old daughter. We sit down 3-4 times a week as a family enjoy 30 minutes of “family reading time” together. During the holiday season we switch over to children’s books with a holiday theme.
The Glimmers Save Christmas is a soft-cover book with adorable characters and has an entertaining story line. The illustrations throughout the book are bright, colorful and adorable! They really grab your attention when reading the story! My 9 year old daughter has read the book to us on family reading night several times and each time it has kept us all entertained. As a 9 year old she totally understands the story, my 3 year old son doesn’t, but he enjoys listening to it and looking at all of the adorable illustrations. I’m sure he will grow into this book nicely.

I gave this book to my 9 year old daughter about 10 days ago and her nose has been in it ever since. Every night after her homework has been completed, she’s working on pages & projects within this activity book. One of the things she really likes about it is the wide variety of different things for her to do. There are things in this book that you won’t find in other books. It’s really unique and entertaining.
For the activities that are done “outside” the book, your child will simply “punch-out” those pieces, no scissors are needed. I really think you only need to supply a regular pencil and some colored pencils for your child to complete 95% of the activities inside the book. If you don’t have colored pencils, crayons or markers will do.
Your child will adore this book and it will keep them entertained for weeks (not days), but for weeks on end! All of the activities are fun to do, entertaining and educational. If your child enjoys activity books, this is one that I highly recommend that you pick up.
