Harry & Meghan: The Wedding Paper Dolls

Harry & Meghan: The Wedding Paper Dolls How many of you watched the Royal Wedding on TV this past spring? My 9 1/2 year old granddaughter was really excited about the wedding and got up at 4 AM to watch it with me. We laid in my bed for 3 1/2 hours watching the wedding and all of the festivities surrounding it.

When I was a little girl playing with paper dolls was one of my favorite things to do. I can remember having at least 12 different sets of paper dolls and had a lot of fun dressing them up.

Recently I had the opportunity to introduce my 9 1/2 year old granddaughter to paper dolls with this brand new set that was just released. It’s called the Harry & Meghan The Wedding Paper Dolls. ISBN: 978-0-486-82866-4

Harry & Meghan: The Wedding Paper Dolls

Synopsis: Celebrate the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with these lifelike cut-outs of the happy couple. Sixteen full-color plates include figures of the bride and groom, complete with accurate re-creations of the fashions they wore to pre-wedding events as well as on the day of the historic occasion. Highlights include the bridal gown, an exclusive design by Clare Waight Keller that was one of the year’s biggest fashion secrets and has already achieved iconic status.

Last weekend my granddaughter stayed overnight and we spent 2 hours cutting out the paper dolls and all of their stylish outfits. This was the first time that she really has experienced creative play in regards to paper dolls. This set is well-made and the paper clothing is really beautiful. Wow, I wish I had some fashions like that hanging in my closet, don’t you?

The cover to the book serves as the wedding backdrop which is made out of glossy cardstock. The fashion items are easy to cut out and all come with tabs, so that you can attach them to your Prince Harry and Meghan paper dolls. In the photograph above you can see one of my granddaughter’s favorite dresses for her new Meghan doll which is super-stylish and lovely.

This was her first “real” experience playing with paper dolls and really loved it. Matter of fact, she’s still playing with them! This set would make a great holiday gift for any little girl on your holiday gift-giving list.

These are so cute. I remember playing with paper dolls as a kid. Of course, !i suspect most people buying this will be adults looking to keep it intact as a souvenir.
