Letter From a Stranger by Barbara Taylor Bradford Audio Book Review

As a teen and quite honestly, throughout my whole life, I had an addiction to books. I loved romances and awesome stories of strong independent women that were written about by authors with a knack of storytelling. I have read countless Barbara Taylor Bradford books

My Knight in Shining Armor is Coming…He’s Just Stuck in Traffic – Book Review

Today I am doing a book review for all of you on the softcover book titled “My Knight in Shining Armor is Coming… He’s Just Stuck in Traffic” by author Lindsley Lowell. The book’s ISBN is: 9781469995632.

Synopsis: Single women are constantly asking themselves, “Why and I still single?” The purpose of this book is to answer this question and inspire single women to have the self-esteem, courage, conviction and guts to believe that true love is still out there for them and not to settle. In a society that tells us that women over 35 are like discounted, last season’s fashions, this book is a shining beacon that shows, through the author’s own story of heartbreak and triumph that we can, and will, endure. The book gives women the ammunition to say “Up Yours” to all the naysayers and skeptics who tell us that we will not find “the one.” All women DESERVE true love. No question.

Do not settle. Do not let others put you down. Do not think you are crazy. Do not throw in the towel and start crocheting outfits for your cat. There IS hope. Let me be your beacon of hope, your wing woman, and your leader in the fight to find your knight in shining armor. Yes, Virginia, he does exist. He just might be stuck in traffic.

Book Review: I am a 26 yr. old woman and mom to one little girl in a 5 year relationship with my boyfriend. Our road has been long and tough, and so far I haven’t been able to get him to commit to something long term. I was excited to read this book when my mother gave it to me. It took me about 11 days to read it cover to cover and I found it to be an easy read that flows really well. The book is broken down into 19 chapters and starts out with chapter one called “Men” and finishes up with chapter 19 called “Princess Lindsley.”

One of my favorite chapters in the book is called “First Love – And Last? which really applied to me since I am currently in a relationship with my first love and found humor and great insight in this chapter by the author.

I have read the book cover to cover and I am going to read it again and this time around really take my time reading it so I can digest the information, learn from it and apply it to my own life. I think the book is great and even young single or semi-single women like myself will enjoy it.

Book Review: My mother is single and looking/dating for Mr. Right so I gave this book to her to read. A week later she brought the book back to me as she completely read the book from cover to cover within 6 days. The book is broken down into 5 parts with a total of 18 chapters. She said the book is an extremely easy read and that all of the advice that Dr. Glass gives you in the book is “spot on” correct. She really loved the first chapter called “What is a Toxic Man” and told me that she never realized the “signs” and that men can be toxic to a relationship in way too many ways to count. I guess I am very fortunate as my husband is fabulous and we have been married for almost 27 years.

The five parts in the book are: (1) Everything You Need to Know about Toxic Men (2) Why You? (3) Sizing Up a Toxic Man (4) How to Deal with a Toxic Man (5) Healing from a Toxic Man.

Mom said the book is a very easy read, flows nicely from start to finish and that she completely agreed with the Author’s assement and advice. She said she now knows what to “NOT look for in a man” and how to “deal” with a toxic man should she encounter one again! Ha!
