How many of you remember those fun activity books from your childhood where you had to spot the different picture? I loved those type’s of activity books and they would entertain me for days on end. If you enjoyed them as a child or have children in your family, you’re going to enjoy this brand new activity book by Diana Zourelias from Dover Publications titled: Find & Color The Impostor Activity Book.

I have a 9 1/2 year old daughter who enjoys all kinds of different activity books. She will sit for hours and work on crossword puzzles, search words, mazes and of course…these fun “spot the difference” activity books. I gave this new book to the Princess and over the past weeks she’s been working on it during her free time.
What’s really nice about this book is that all of the pages are one-sided with perforated edges. You can easily remove the pages from the book and give them out to the kids (nice if you have a few kids in the family) or you can leave them all in the book.
To help spot the difference you’ll want to instruct the child to color-in the images and make them all the same until they “spot” the one image that is slightly different. They can use crayons, colored pencils, markers, etc. In essence it’s 2 activities in 1.
The images are adorable and some of them are fairly easy to spot the difference while others are more challenging as they work they way through the book. I think its a great activity book for “quiet time” at home or give it to your child when traveling to occupy their time. Fun for sure!

My husband is a huge Star Wars fan. He’s been collecting Star Wars books, games, puzzles, action figures, home decor and collectibles since the mid-to-late 1980’s and has over 500+ items in his collection. As soon as hubby received the book he couldn’t wait to get started. If you’re new to Origami you’ll want to read through the symbols and techniques chapter at the beginning of the book. Once you do…you’ll be ready to move on to your very first project.
He’s currently working on the BB-8 and once he gets it done I’ll update my post with a photograph of the completed model. He works long hours at work, so it will be 2-3 weeks until the post is updated. In the meantime he said that even if you’re new to Origami, you’ll be able to do these projects. He also recommends that you make them in the order that they’re given in the book. In other words, the first few are easier to make and then you’ll build upon your folding skills as you go along. Next, he recommends that you purchase a small pair of scissors that are very sharp…preferably scissors that are designed to be used for paper. Other than that, you won’t need any additional supplies.
If you have a Star Wars fan or Origami fan in your life this book would make a great holiday gift! Now that winter is here and we’ll all be spending more time stuck indoors…origami is a great way to pass the time!!!
