Now that the Fall season has kicked in…I’m spending more time indoors. One thing that I’m teach myself about how to preserve food by dehydrating it. Right now I’m learning about drying fruits, veggies and herbs. Once I get good at that…I want to try my hand at making jerky. I purchased 2 food dehydrators at our local thrift store. Both are older models…one never used and the other is just like new. The total I paid was $10 for the two of them. Right now I’m drying out bread slices to make homemade bread crumbs.
Do you do any type of food dehydrating? If so, what kinds of things have you been doing? I’m always looking for some new ideas.
