Two months ago we took a vacation down to the outer banks in North Carolina. If you’ve never visited the area, we highly recommend that you add it to your travel bucket list. It’s a gorgeous place to vist with friendly locals and plenty of things to see and do. When visiting, try going in the late spring and early fall seasons to avoid the summer crowds.
When we’re on vacation we enjoy getting up early in the morning and starting our day off with a walk…particularly to see the sunrise. It’s also cooler early in the morning, so a great time to get some physical activity in before the day starts heating up. After that, we get cleaned up and go out for some breakfast.
Today….I wanted to show you a photograph of the sun just coming up over the horizon. You can see some of the colorful reflection in the water of the Atlantic Ocean. Just stunning! I love seeing those pink, coral and orange colors dancing across the sky. While standing there we could hear the birds off in the distance. A few minutes later we saw a dolphins swimming by. After all of that, you know you’re going to have a great day at the beach. Coastal locations are always our favorite places to visit.
