How many of you enjoy going into an Arcade from time to time? We don’t go into them locally but when we travel down to the Jersey Shore we’ll go into them while up on the boardwalk. Visiting Arcades can be very expensive but indeed fun. We set a limit on what we’re going to spend and stick to it. If you don’t set a budget, you’ll find yourself spending more than you intended.
When we do go into the arcade I like to play those mechanical claw aka crane machines. My grandchildren love the stuffed animals that I win from them. Everyone in the family stinks at the Crane Machine but I seem to have a knack for it. I do limit myself to only the .25 cents and .50 cents machines. I don’t mess with those expensive ones where it’s much harder to win a prize.
My wife really isn’t into arcade games except for the classic Skee Ball. That is one game that we play together when we’re in there. Luckily, Skee Ball is one of the cheapest games to play at the ones that we visit. Each game spits out tickets (varies according to score) which can be redeemed for little trinket-style prizes. Again, the prizes go to the grandkids.
Our grandson loves all kinds of different video games…especially the racing ones. He enjoys sitting in the seat and racing down the track on the video screen. For a 7 year old he’s quite good at it. Our granddaughter will play a few arcade games but like my wife…she isn’t really into it.
