My family enjoys homemade brownies. Sure, you can buy pre-packaged brownie mixes at your local store but in my honest opinion, homemade tastes better! They’re more moist and you are controlling the ingredients that go into them. Besides, you only need a few ingredients to make them. It’s not like it takes hours to make them the good old-fashioned way.
When I make them I like to use my Mother’s recipe. Instead of baking in a 8″ or 9″ square baking dish (which you certainly can do)…I bake them in a muffin cup pan that is lined with paper liners. By doing it this way, they’re great for my kids to grab and go. Perfect to pack in their lunch bags too!
Easy-to-Make Chocolate Brownies Recipe
4 squares unsweetened chocolate
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter
2 cups granulated sugar
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Line a muffin pan or cupcake pan with paper cupcake liners.
In a microwave safe bowl, combine the unsweetened chocolate squares with 3/4 cup of butter. Heat on high for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes in your microwave until the chocolate and butter are melted. Stir in the granulated sugar, large eggs and vanilla extract until all ingredients are combined. Stir in the all-purpose flour and mix well.
Pour or spoon the batter into the prepared muffin pan filling the cups 3/4 of the way full. Continue until done.
Place the muffin pan into a preheated 350 degrees F oven and bake for approximately 15-17 minutes. If you like them a little gooey, remove from the oven 2 minutes early. If you like them cake-like…then bake for the entire time until the center springs back when touched. Remove. Let cool. Store them in an airtight container.

Great idea to make them as muffins. So much easier to transport plus they look so chocolatey and yummy.
My goodness, these look so delish. I would love to make these for an upcoming birthday party thanks for sharing this one.
