Have you ever heard of Wreaths Across America? For the past 4 years me and my family have been volunteering with them to lay holiday wreaths on the graves of veterans at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Pennsylvania. They have programs all across America that you can participate in.
In early December every year we go out and lay the wreaths on the assigned grave sites. It’s a privledge to do it and a humbling experience. It’s a way to show our veterans and their families that their never forgotten. EVER. If you can’t go out and volunteer you can certainly make a donation to the organization via their website.
First photograph shows my sister placing a wreath on my brother’s final resting place. It was a Viet Nam vet and served in the Marine Corps. He passed away in 2019. We’re always HONORED to do this every year. Wreaths Across America provides all of the wreaths and gives you a list of the names (graves) on where you’re to place them. In the second photograph you’ll see me placing one of those wreaths.
You can visit Wreaths Across America to learn how you can Volunteer and/or Donate.
This is a lovely idea and program to honor and remember our veterans.
I have heard of this organization and I really want to volunteer in our area. Thank you for sharing this one. God Bless Our Troops.
