Cherry Dumplings Made with Gluten Free Puff Pastry

Cherry Dumplings Made with Gluten Free Puff PastryGF-Easy was established in 2018 by two female entrepreneurs, Esther and Lily. They were on a mission to make the gluten free lifestyle not only extremely delicious, but super easy! A few years ago they introduced a line of frozen, raw, gluten free doughs that are made to be a canvas for your cravings. When creating their products, they had the very highest of standards in mind. They didn’t stop developing until their blind taste testers couldn’t tell the difference between gluten free and non gluten free. You can connect with the company over on Facebook.

For this review I received a package of the Gluten Free Easy Mini Puff Pastry Squares. It contained 12 mini squares in the package. They’re certified gluten free, vegan friendly, cholestrol free, soy free and trans fat free. You want to keep them in the freezer (keep frozen) until ready to use.

Gluten Free Puff Pastry Mini Sheets

Baking Directions: Thaw at room temperature until fully pliable. Fill as desired and bake at 400 degrees F. for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.

1 pkg. Gluten Free Easy Mini Puff Pastry Squares (thawed)
1 can Cherry Pie Filling
Non-Stick Baking Spray

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Spray a glass baking pan with non-stick baking spray.

Use a rolling pin to flatten out each square a little bit. Make sure they’re fully thawed so that they’re pliable. Place the squares into the bottom of the glass baking dish. Use a tablespoon to spoon cherry pie filling into the center of each square. Use your fingers to pull the sides up on the Puff Pastry Square to contain the filling inside. See photo. This is just like making apple dumplings if you’re familiar with that. Continue until all squares have been filled.

Place the baking sheet into the oven and bake for 15-17 minutes or until the tops are a light golden brown. Remove and let sit for 2-3 minutes before serving.

We like them served warm (not hot) with a scoop of frozen whipped topping over-the-top. A scoop of vanilla ice cream or vanilla yogurt is equally as good…or serve them as-is.

You’ll want to let leftovers fully cool and then store in an airtight container in your refrigerator. You can warm them up right before serving in the microwave for 10-20 seconds.
