When I go out to shop for bargains…Home Depot is typically not at the top of my list. However, my husband needed a few things from Home Depot for a home remodeling project, so we went in. As he shopped for the items he needed I browsed around the store. Oh my…I didn’t realize I could find some good bargains there!
Okay, here’s what I got.
4 New Doormats! These are over-sized, heavy-duty door mats that were available in 3 different colors. I love that they’re weighty, so they won’t disappear on those windy weather days. Originally they were $29.99 each and I got them on clearance for $8.88 each! I got 4 so that my front door and back door each got a new doormat and the other 2 I gave to my Mom.
They had a small gardening clearance section and I purchased an indoor houseplant in a little ceramic pot that was marked down to $6.98. Score! I love houseplants! It’s an easy-to-grow succulent. I have a friend that is in an assisted living center right now…so I’m going to go back and purchased another one. They’re allowed little houseplants but no flowers in the center. I think it will brighten her day.
Finally, I purchased a pair of work gloves with genuine suede (leather) fingers and palm areas in a size large. I got them on final clearance for $4.48 and they’re a gift for my son-in-law. Yeah, I shop ahead for the Christmas holiday and for birthdays. He goes through a lot of work gloves.

I have not done much shopping lately, but you sure made some good scores. The houseplant will certainly brighten a room.

I love finding good deals on stuff. And I always have a large drawer to throw them in for Christmas or birthdays.
