Dryer Lint Catch-All Made from Plastic Milk Jug

Dryer Lint Catch-All Made from Plastic Milk JugLast weekend I was complaining to my teenage daughter about all of the dryer lint being left on the laundry shelf, the floor, and other areas throughout my laundry room. I get really tired of going in there with a bag and cleaning up all of the dryer lint! Sadly, a few members in my family are too lazy to walk it to a trash can.

Princess G is creative and crafty. That afternoon she dug a plastic milk jug out of the recycling box. She washed it really well with soapy water and rinsed it clean. She took scissors and cut off the top of the jug (the handle and pour spout) and tossed those back into the recycling container. She then cut a 2″ dip in the front of the container as shown in the photograph.

You can’t see in the photo but she used a large hole punch to make a hanging hole in the back. If you don’t want to hang it up…omit that step. You can simply sit your catch-all container on a shelf. To decorate it…she simply used Sharpie Markers to write the word Dryer Lint and added 3 colorful flowers.

My new Dryer Lint Catch-All hangs from a Command Performance Hook in my laundry room on the wall beside the dryer. It’s now in plain sight and will hopefully encourage family members to toss the lint into the catch-all when cleaning out the dryer.

I was a VERY impressed Mom with my daughter’s creativity! She turned an old plastic milk jug into a practical catch-all in my laundry room!

Your daughter is definitely very crafty. She may get that from her grandmother!

What a great ideal!! Do you ever use the lint?? I have read about a lot of different uses.
