These Nonpareils Popcorn Balls would make the perfect snack at a Birthday party for the kids. They’re easy to make, colorful, and fun! The recipe is courtesy of Popcorn.org and will make approximately 12 cups.
Nonpareils Popcorn Balls Recipe
12 cups popped popcorn
1/4 cup light corn syrup
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1 cup confectioner’s sugar
1 cup mini marshmallows
1 tablespoon water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Tiny nonpareils
Place popped popcorn in a large mixing bowl.
In large saucepan, combine corn syrup, butter, confectioner’s sugar, mini marshmallows and water. Heat over low heat, stirring until mixture is blended; add vanilla extract.
Pour mixture over popcorn. Let cool 2 minutes.
Place the tiny nonpareils on a plate. Shape popcorn into small balls and roll in nonpareils. Set aside to firm up. Place balls in an airtight container, in individual food-safe storage bags or wrap in cellophane.
