Light-Weight and Durable Wheat Straw Lunch Plates

Light-Weight and Durable Wheat Straw Lunch PlatesFor everyday use we like to use plastic lunch and dinner plates along with coordinating bowls. I try to save my expensive stoneware dinnerware for more formal meals. With that said, not all plastic dinnerware is created equally! For example, I love the pretty patterns and designs with Melamine but you can’t put those in the microwave. They retain heat and can cause burns to your hands when removing the item from the microwave. Other plastic dinnerware contains harsh chemicals and so forth.

After an extensive 6 months search I finally found the PERFECT lunch and dinner plates! They’re made out of durable wheat straw and are light-weight. You can get them in a variety of different colors and sizes. I purchased the 9″ rounds to help us keep our portions under control when eating. That’s right, the bigger the plate, the more you pile onto it. This size will help you keep that in-check and they’re the perfect size for lunch, dinner, and snacks.

Light-Weight and Durable Wheat Straw Lunch Plates

Wheat Straw Plates are dishwasher safe, microwave safe, and refrigerator safe. I love that after taking one out of the microwave with hot food on it that I’m not burning my hands. They don’t “heat up” like other plasticware. The plate gets warm but in 2+ months hasn’t caused me any burns. My food gets evenly heated too! One of the best things is that the edge is higher up on the sides which keeps your food from sliding off of the plate! Yeah!

So, where did I purchase these beautiful Wheat Straw Lunch and Dinner Plates? Amazon of course! I got them for a fabulous affordable price! I like them so much that I bought a second set of plates along with a coordinating set of bowls. We use them every day!!! They would be great for outdoor entertaining too!

These wheat straw plates sound wonderful. I like that they do not get hot in the microwave, so I may buy a set for myself.
