Nutter Butter Santa Cookies Recipe

My kids love the holidays and that includes baking cookies. Their favorite part is decorating and eating them! These Nutter Butter Santa Cookies are super easy to make and you only need a handful of ingredients to make them.

If you want traditional looking Santas use red sugar. However, you can make them with green, blue, purple, etc. colored hats. Red and White sprinkles look cute too! My 7 year old and 13 year old made the ones you see below.

Nutter Butter Santa Cookies Recipe

1 Dozen Nutter Butter Cookies
4 oz. pkg. White Baking Chocolate
24 Miniature Dark Chocolate Chips
12 White Chocolate Chips
12 Red M&M Candies
Red Granulated Sugar

Lay a sheet of waxed paper on top of a baking sheet.

Melt the white chocolate in a double boiler or microwave. Dip each end of the cookie into the melted chocolate. Lay on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle red granulated sugar on top to serve as the hat, leaving a little bit of the white chocolate exposed to serve as the trim. Place a white chocolate chip onto the hat as shown in the photograph.

Spoon the leftover melted white chocolate into a sandwich bag. Purge out air and zip close. Use scissors to cut off a tiny corner of the bag. Use the melted chocolate as “glue” to place on the eyes and nose. You just need a little bit of the melted chocolate to get them to stick. Let cookies cool.

Once they’re firm store them in an airtight container.
