15+ Ways to Use a Non-Stick Silicone Baking Mat in the Kitchen

15+ Ways to Use a Non-Stick Silicone Baking Mat in the KitchenI’m really surprised at how many people still don’t own or use a Non-Stick Silicone Baking Mat in their kitchens. I personally own several of them in various sizes and use one almost daily! A lot of people think they’re just for when you bake…but they can be used other ways too!

Here are 15+ Ways to Use a Non-Stick Silicone Baking Mat in your kitchen! They’re versatile and a staple in my home.

– Rolling Out Pie Dough
– Use When Making Homemade Pierogies.
– Making Salt Dough Ornaments
– Liners on Food Trays (When you’re serving sticky foods)
– Line Cookie Baking Sheets
– Line Baking Sheets for Sticky Buns
– Protect Counter-Top When Making Homemade Peanut Butter & Jam Sandwhiches for the Freezer (You can check out my How-To on making them HERE).

How to Make and Freeze Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches
– Old Sheets are Great Playdough Mats for the Kids.
– Old Sheets Protect Table-Top When Kid’s are Finger Painting
– Spoon and Funnel Rests When Home Canning (Sticky Messes Easier to Clean-up)
– Use When Making No-Bake Cookies (Drop Cookies onto Sheet to Firm and Cool)
– Great Refrigerator Shelf Liners.
– Use to Line Kitchen Cabinets and Drawers (Old Sheets).
– Line the tray of a Child’s High Chair.
– Use Old Sheets to Line Pantry Shelves.
– Use Underneath Pet Feeding Dishes (Easy to Clean).
– Liner in Kitchen Sink When Hand Washing Crystal and China.
– Line Baking Pans, Roasters, Cake Pans, etc.
– Use as a Liner in your Ice Cooler

You can use Non-Stick Silicone Baking Mats in a variety of different ways. They’re versatile, so I’m always using them creatively in my kitchen. Once they start getting worn out…I repurpose them to be shelf liners in my cabinets, drawers, and pantry. They’re great arts and crafts surfaces for kids too!

I have never thought to use a silicone baking mat for these other reasons. Thanks for the uses.

I am one of those that has never used a silicone baking mat but after reading this, I can see that it really makes sense. It would make working with dough of any kinds much simpler.
