During a murder investigation a detective must answer these 3 questions:

1. Motive – Who had a reason to kill the victim? Does any particular person benefit from the victim’s death?

2. Means – Who had access to the murder weapon? Does any particular person have the unique knowledge, skill, or physical ability necessary to use the murder weapon?

3. Opportunity – Who had a chance to kill the victim? Is any particular person unaccounted for (has no alibi) during the time the victim was killed?

Murder Mystery Party Case Files: Death By Chef's Knife

Last weekend we had 2 of our friends come over to sit down and play this game with us. One of the really cool things about this game is that it’s UNLIKE any other game that we’ve played. We host friends and/or family game nights at our home twice a month and have done so for years. We’ve played hundreds of different games and trust me, it’s unlike anything else you’ve played.

This game gets you thinking and you have to pay attention to the clues. It puts you into the detective’s shoes and you have to solve the crime before anyone else. You have to determine the motive, means, and opportunity of each suspect in the case to solve it. We found it really challenging to play but in a good way! If you’re tired of silly board games…you’ll enjoy this murder mystery party game for sure!

Head on over to Are You Game to check out all of the games and puzzles that they have to offer. Great gift idea for that person on your holiday gift-giving list.
