Birthday Party Favor Bags with Practical Back-to-School Supplies

Happy BirthdayThis month I’ve been planning and preparing for my son’s upcoming birthday party. He will be turning 7 years old in less than 2 weeks. Oh my, where has the time gone?!? This year we’re hosting the party outside in our backyard with a barbecue, backyard games, an inflatable bounce house, face painting, a piniata, and other activities for the kids to enjoy.

Last week I hit our local Dollar General Store and the grocery store to pick up inexpensive items for the party favor bags that each child will receive for attending the birthday party. Some parents refer to them as loot bags or swag bags.

Since school will be in session, I opted to fill the bags with practical back-to-school supplies.  As a parent, I know the other parents will appreciate the school supplies too! I picked up the following items:

3 Pencils
3 Erasers
2 Mini Note Pads
5 Markers
8 Colored Pencils
3 Animal Shaped Paper Clips
1 Mini Bottle of Hand Sanitizer
Water Paint Set with 5 Colors and Paint Brush
5 This Belongs To Stickers
5 ID Name Stickers

Some items will need to be taken out of the original packaging, so that they’re fit within the bags. Depending on the child’s age you could pick up small boxes of math, spelling, reading, colors & shapes, etc. type of flash cards at the store too!

I had a little room left in each party bag to add a few edibles, so I added the following:

Little Debbie Birthday Cake Bars
1 Granola Bar
4 Miniature Hershey Chocolate Bars
1 Chocolate Pudding Cup
1 Snack-Size Bag Gold Fish Crackers

If you’re looking for inexpensive Birthday Party Favor Bags you can find them at the Dollar Tree, Dollar General, and through Amazon. You can get mini-size, small, or medium-sized bags. If you’re placing candy and food items inside…always make sure they’re sealed and individually wrapped.

My great niece’s 6th birthday is on sept 24. And her mother found a place that she could rent for $50. for 4 hours. She has a bounce house and it has been used a lot. and has got the face painter hired. Will share this with her regarding the gift bags which is a great ideal
