One issue that I’ve always struggled with is adding a bed skirt – dust ruffle to the bottom of the adjustable beds. At my age…I can’t be placing them between the boxspring and mattress. Furthermore, traditional dust ruffles don’t work with adjustable or platform beds unless you alter them. Who needs that hassle? Not me!

Last month I found the perfect solution over on Amazon. I purchased 3 of the Wrap Around Elastic Bed Skirt for our beds! Obviously, I got them in 3 different colors. I purchased 2 in a queen size and 1 in a full size. You can find them available in different colors and sizes.

Why do I love these Wrap Around Elastic Bed Skirts? Well, I’m going to tell you!!!

They have elastic and wrap 90% of the way around your box spring or platform. There is an open-space on the other 10% of the dust ruffle that has 2 elastic straps. You place that portion at the head of the bed if you keep your bed up against a wall or on a side that it won’t be seen. You just wrap it around, adjust it a tad and you’re done! No lifing up the mattresses and struggling to get it underneath. Nope, not at all.

The ones that I purchased are made out of 100% Polyester. They’re machine wash and tumble dry on low heat or hang them outside to air dry on warm weather days. The ruffling on the ones I purchased is gentle, it’s not overly done. They’re wrinkle resistant too! Yay!

How do you know which size to order? Well, go by your mattress size. Then get a tape measure or a ruler and measure from the floor up to the top of the box spring or platform. That will give you the height that you need. In my case I went with 14″ for one and 15″ for the other two that I purchased.

I don’t have adjustable beds, but my daughter-in-law loves them and has bed skirts too. I shall look into this further .

  2. I don’t have adjustable beds but I do use bed skirts since I have under the bed containers for storage. I agree that getting the bed skirt on is such a chore and was not aware that there was something like this to make it so much easier.
