Honey Bunches of Oats No-Bake Cookies Recipe

Honey Bunches of Oats No-Bake Cookies RecipeThe Classic No-Bake Cookies Recipe is one of our most popular posts on the blog. The cookies only require a handful of ingredients and are completely cooked on the stove-top. No need to heat up the oven on a hot summer day. They’re a big hit with my grandchildren and so are the Honey Bunches of Oats Cookies that I’m posting today.

Honey Bunches of Oats No-Bake Cookies Recipe

2 cups Honey Bunches of Oats Crunchy Honey Roasted Cereal
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt

In a large saucepan melt the butter over medium heat. Add in the milk, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt. Bring mixture to a rolling boil. Once boiling time the boil for exactly 1 minute, stirring constantly to prevent scorching. Remove pan from heat.

Stir in the peanut butter until melted. Fold in the Honey Bunches of Oats Honey Roasted Cereal. Stir with a rubber spatula until cereal is completely coated in the mixture.

Lay out a sheet of aluminum foil or wax paper. Drop cookies by the tablespoon onto your prepared surface. Allow them to cool. They will firm-up as they cool. If you want to speed up this process you can line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Drop them onto the sheet and then place the sheet into the refrigerator for 30-45 minutes. Remove.

Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature.
