My god-son is just shy of 2 years old. He spends a lot of time at my home, so I’m always looking for high-quality, educational toys to share with him. Recently I received the MAGICUBE Polar Animals Magnetic Cubes Construction Building Set for review. I was really excited to receive this because most construction toys are made for older children, not for toddlers. This set is made for children 1 1/2 years and older. PERFECT!
The set comes with 8 magnetic cubes and 2 instructional cards. With this one set your child can build 4 different polar animals: Polar Bear, Seal, Penguin, and a Whale. The pieces are cubed shaped and perfectly sized for little hands. They’re magnetic, so they stick together and pull apart easily.
I sat down with my god-son and showed him how to put the animals together and take them apart. It took him a few minutes to get the hang of it, but then he was all on his own. Kids can make 4 complete animals or come up with their own animal combinations. My 5 year old son joined in on the fun mixing up the cubes and coming up with his own “funny” animals.
Play set is compact in size and light-weight. You could easily pack it to go to grandma’s house, to daycare, or pack it up to take on vacation. Kids always need something to do while traveling. If your child gets them dirty don’t worry, clean-up is a snap. Just wipe the cubes down with a little bit of soap and water or one of those handy-dandy cleaning wipes.
You can visit GEOMAG World to learn more about their magnetic construction sets and to learn more about the company. You can connect with the brand over on Facebook too.
