Strawberry Bavarian Gelatin Salad Dessert Recipe

Strawberry Bavarian Gelatin Salad Dessert RecipeThis Strawberry Bavarian Gelatin Dessert is really easy-to-make and only requires a few ingredients. When I make this recipe I make it a day ahead of time to allow the gelatin to set up and to fully chill. It’s always a big hit at family gatherings and holiday get-togethers.

You’ll need a gelatin mold to make this recipe. The one that I prefer to use is from Tupperware and I’ve had it for a few years. It’s dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer safe. In my honest opinion, you won’t find a better gelatin mold! Once you prepare the dessert I recommend at least 6 hours of refrigeration time so that it fully sets before serving it.

Strawberry Bavarian Gelatin Salad Dessert Recipe

1 basket of fresh strawberries
6 oz. strawberry gelatin mix (two 3 oz. boxes)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 1/3 cups boiling water
1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
8 oz. tub frozen whipped topping, thawed
non-stick baking spray

Spray your Tupperware gelatin mold lightly with non-stick baking spray and set aside.

For the first part of this recipe you’ll only be using 1/2 of your fresh strawberries. Place the strawberries on your cutting board and chop into small pieces, set aside.

In a large mixing bowl dissolve the gelatin mix and granulated sugar in boiling water, stirring until all of the sugar and gelatin has completely dissolved. Cover bowl and place into the refrigerator until it has slightly thickened. This process took 60-75 minutes for me.

Stir the vanilla extract into the thawed whipped topping until blended. Gently fold the whipped topping into the gelatin mixture. Fold in the chopped fresh strawberries until blended.

Pour the entire mixture into your prepared gelatin mold (make sure you lightly spray it with non-stick baking spray). Place the cover on top. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours (best to refrigerate it overnight) before serving. I like to un-mold it onto a round serving tray or large dinner plate.

Slice the rest of your strawberries in half lengthwise. Place them around the gelatin ring. If you have extra slices toss them into the center (as shown in the photograph). Serve immediately.

You’ll want to refrigerate leftovers in a covered bowl or container. Do not place it into the freezer.

This looks like an easy recipe to make. My granddaughter loves strawberries, so I shall have to try out this recipe soon.

  2. I can see why this is a family favorite. It looks so delicious with the pink icing and strawberries in the middle. I know it is something that would be a favorite in my house too.

  3. I’d love to eat this. Not sure I want to make it, but I want to eat it.

  4. This looks so good and pretty too. I so love stawberries and I just know I would love this. It seems like it is something a little out of my league to make but I would love to give it a try. Also those tupperware containers are really neat and at a great price.
