8 Classic Footwear Styles Every Woman Needs

I work in a professional office environment for one job and from home for another. The attire I wear into the office is professional while the attire I wear at home is casual. This means that I have to have multiple styles of footwear in my closet and for the most part I want them to be comfortable and versatile.

When I buy a new pair of shoes I’m always conscious about the style, color and fit. I buy mostly classic styles that I can wear season after season. I stick to a color palette that will work with most fashions in my closet. I rarely buy trendy styles or colors. I want the most bag for my buck.

Spectator Pumps: Are a high-heeled shoe that features contrasting colors. The most popular colors are black and white spectator’s which have become a classic footwear style.

Mary-Jane: Is a style of shoe that burst onto the fashion scene in the early 19th century. These shoes are worn typically by girls and feature a round-toe with one or more straps across the instep. Adult dancers also enjoy wearing the Mary-Jane style.

Clogs: Are a type of shoe that is made entirely or partially out of wood. They are constructed for comfort and feature a round-toe area. The classic styles feature easy slip-on and slip-off construction, but some of the more modern styles (clog-style sandals or boots) can feature ankle straps or entry-zippers.

Espadrille: Are casual style shoes that feature a flexible sole and a cotton or canvas upper. The sole is typically wrapped in jute rope which gives them a very unique appearance.
