Virgil’s Classic Root Beer Float Recipe

Virgil’s Handcrafted Root Beer (or Zero-Sugar Root Beer)
Vanilla Ice Cream

Get a nice tall glass (preferably a mighty mug!). Drop one scoop of vanilla ice cream into the bottom of the glass. Pour Virgil’s root beer over the scoop until it fills up about halfway. Drop another scoop of vanilla ice cream into the mix. Fill to the top of the glass with Virgil’s! Grab spoon and experiment with your preferred balance of ice cream and root beer in each bite.

    I have not had a root beer float in a very long time. I am glad that Virgil has a sugar free root beer.

  2. One of our favorites for the summer. Having a quality root beer makes the difference. Luckily our Target store carries Virgil’s. It is one of the best.

  5. Glad to know about National Root Beer Float Day is on August 6th, 2020. I don’t thing the mint chocolate chip ice cream I have will work. Have to get some vanilla.

    OMG I have not had or thought of a Root Beer Float in to many years to count. Way back when we go to this place that made the best floats……………….. Memories I will just have the buy the stuff to make one or two
