Best Winter Vacations to Escape the Cold and Enjoy Sunny Weather

January 7, 2020 by Sam H.

Best Winter Vacations to Escape the Cold and Enjoy Sunny WeatherAround 1 million people a year hit the road or fly through the skies to escape the cold.

While you might not be one of these snowbirds, you can still enjoy the best winter vacations and escape the cold even if it is just for a little while.

Whether you’ve got a week or more, we know the hot spots to hit when you need to escape the cold. Continue reading to learn about winter vacation ideas that will warm your heart and fuel your fire.

Florida

If you want to escape the cold, you don’t have to go far. You can head down to Florida and enjoy some fun in the sun.

Whether you enjoy walking on the beach or you want to hop a fishing charter from places like http://gochartertampa.com/, there so much to do and see. Let’s not leave out the delicious seafood either.

Since Florida isn’t far away, you can save some travel dollars and spend money on fun activities.

Nevada

If you don’t want to spend a lot of money on flights, Las Vegas is by far one of the cheapest spots to fly to in the winter months.

Las Vegas isn’t the only hot spot in Nevada though. Check out Reno and visit Lake Tahoe for some more beautiful sights.

South America

Feel like getting out of North America? How about hopping a flight to South America?

Check out beautiful spots like Sao Paulo or Rio de Janerio or one of the other beautiful spots that South America is known for. While flights used to be more expensive, you can find some decent deals when heading to these locations with new airline deals and partnerships.

St. Lucia

Stepping foot in St. Lucia is pure paradise when back home you’d be fighting snow or rain.

Temperatures in the winter are in the high 80s and you are usually going to be enjoying sunny skies when you’re there.

These beautiful sites and great weather don’t come cheap though, so get ready to spend some money on this beauty and sun. There’s plenty to do on St. Lucia that goes beyond the beach but if all you want is some fun in the sun and to enjoy the beach — that’s fine too!

Costa Rica

If you visit Costa Rica in December, you’re going to get there just in time for the dry months.

Whether you’re there to bike, hike, go fishing on one of these Tamarindo fishing charters, zip line or ride horses, there is plenty of time and good weather to get it done

No matter when you come, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy one of the many Costarican beaches.

I would love to go to any of these places during the winter months. Perhaps I shall choose one for next year.

Boy do I need a trip like one of these. I have always wanted to go to the Florida Keys and also Costa Rica. We are getting snow here where I live and I am a little tired of being cold.

With snow on the way, a vacation in the sun sounds good to me. I find that Las Vegas is a good starting point for many destinations in that area. Zion and Bryce National Parks are easy to get to from Las Vegas.

I wish I was at any one of these spots right now…………………….. 32 degrees and snow coming down.

My friend was in Vegas all last week, flying home today. My sister and her family are going to Florida for spring break………………. I got to get away!!
