Beer and Cheese – undeniably two of our most important achievements and Hall’s Snappy Beer Cheese combines them both. You are undoubtably familiar with this Kentucky staple, as it was developed over a half a century ago. Hall’s is a favorite of the famous and infamous and is enjoyed by royalty to red-necks and everyone in between. Hall’s Snappy Beer Cheese is savored as a simple appetizer or as an ingredient in numerous easy-to-make recipes.

We do a lot of entertaining during the holiday season, so I try to keep a lot of easy-to-serve appetizers and snacks on hand. I stock up on various chips, pretzels and artisan crackers and will often toss together a snack tray. As with any snack tray…you need a good cheese spread to go along with it.
Recently we had the opportunity to try out Hall’s Beer Cheese and I’m really excited to tell you about them. While the two varieties that we tried are similar…they are indeed different. My personal favorite was The Original Snappy Beer Cheese while my husband and son-in-law “woofed down” the Hall’s Hot-n-Snappy Beer Cheese.
The Original Snappy Beer Cheese – The unique flavor of Hall’s Original Snappy Beer Cheese recipe begins with aged Wisconsin cheddar cheese and is infused with a hint of hot pepper. Of course, beer is a key ingredient, complementing the rich, sharp taste of the cheese. The original has a tad of spiciness to it which really adds to the flavor. In my honest opinion, this variety is the most versatile.
Hall’s Hot-n-Snappy Beer Cheese – Like your beer cheese a little hotter? Hot-n-Snappy uses Aged Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese, just like their Original Beer Cheese recipe, but they’ve added more pepper to make it even snappier. Warm up your cheese dip or beer cheese soup with this spicy variety of their classic spread. Definitely the variety you want if you like your cheese with more of a spicier kick or heat. With that said, its not overly-spicy at all.
We love to snack so we enjoyed the Hall’s Beer Cheese as a spread/dip when snacking on hard pretzels, soft pretzels, artisan crackers, spread on artisan bread, etc. If you enjoy eating grilled cheese sandwiches…you’ve got to try their cheese spreads instead of using sliced cheese. Oh my gosh, delicious!!!

I have never tried beer cheese. These 2 spreads both sound good.
I’d eat that! I haven’t had beer cheese in a long time. These look like good cheeses for parties.
