Banana Hershey’s Mini Chocolate Kisses Cookies Recipe

How many of you love bananas? I know I do! Every time they’re on sale at our local farmer’s market I will pick up a few pounds. I enjoy snacking on them, slicing them up into my breakfast cereal and using them in my baked goods recipes. Bananas are a great way to get your potassium and they make for a healthy snack!

At our local grocery store they had bags of the Hershey’s Mini Kisses Chocolate Chips on sale, so I picked up 4 bags. I decided to make my favorite banana cookies recipe and instead of using traditional chocolate chips, I substituted with the Hershey’s Mini Kisses and they turned out fabulous! The mini kisses are a little larger than a traditional chocolate chip, so you’ll get more of a chocolate flavor in your cookies. YUMMY!!!

Banana Hershey’s Mini Chocolate Kisses Cookies Recipe

1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 cup ripe, mashed bananas
1 tsp. baking soda
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 – 3/4 cup Hershey’s Mini Kisses Chocolate Chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. I used a copper baking sheet, so I didn’t need to grease the sheet.

In a large mixing bowl cream together the softened butter with the granulated sugar. Beat in the large egg. In a small bowl mashed down the bananas and stir in the baking soda until combined. Let sit for 5 minutes and then pour it into your first bowl. Beat ingredients together until combined.

In a large mixing bowl sift together the all-purpose flour and salt. Beat this mixture into your first bowl. Stir in the Hershey’s Mini Kisses Chocolate Chips until they’re distributed throughout your cookie batter.

Drop batter by the tablespoon full onto your baking sheet. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 8-10 minutes or until done. Place cookies onto a wire rack to cool and then store them in an airtight container.

Note: These cookies freeze well and will keep for up to 3 months if properly frozen. When ready to enjoy, just thaw them overnight in your refrigerator. I like to warm mine up in the microwave for 5-10 seconds to enjoy with my morning coffee.

I’ve never tried banana cookies. I do really like bananas, though, and of course, chocolate, too, so I’ll give this one a try.

  4. This is the recipe I am going to use the next time I have ripe bananas. I usually make banana bread but this will be a yummy change.

  5. These are so good. I am going to take your advise and freeze them to have with my morning coffee. Thank you so much for the recipe.

  6. My husband loves bananas as well and I often add them to baked goods. However, I am not familiar with miniature kisses. They sound like a wonderful combination with the bananas.
