* Complimentary products received for review.

All Local Hive™ honeys are sourced exclusively in the U.S. and bottled in Greeley, Colorado. The team at Local Hive™ work directly with local beekeepers across the U.S., to ensure each varietal yields incredibly delicious and subtly different natural flavors that will be great additions to your family recipes.

Raw, unfiltered honey also offers many health benefits including being rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes and pollen. Unlike processed unnatural sugars or sweeteners, Local Hive™ honey offers transparency, as each natural varietal is made so local it’s “made right in your own back yard”.

Natural, Raw and Unfiltered Honey from Local Hive

For this holiday gift guide feature we received 2 bottles of Raw & Unfiltered Honey from Local Hive. My mother and I both enjoy honey, so we we were excited to give them a try.

* Local Hive New England Honey
Floral Notes: Basswood, Berries, Clover, Goldenrod. Flavor is bold and robust. Northeast honeys are much darker than anywhere else.

* Local Hive Northeast Honey
Floral Notes: Alfalfa, Berries, Clover, Goldenrod. Flavor flows from sweet, to floral with a finish that’s slightly bitter (in a good way!).

On the back of each bottle is a United States map which highlights the particular states that your selected honey comes from. I think it’s really cool that you can buy honey from your particular area in the country. Plus, a portion of the proceeds goes toward promoting, protecting and prolonging pollination. Each bottle contains only one ingredient: Raw & Unfiltered Honey!

Natural, Raw and Unfiltered Honey from Local Hive

Mom and I enjoy putting a teaspoon of honey into our hot tea or coffee in the morning. I really appreciate that the honey comes packaged in plastic, squeezeable bottles. Really easy to use! We also enjoy putting honey into our pancake batter, waffle batter, cookie & bread batters, etc. Cooking and baking with honey is a great way to sweeten up your baked goods…naturally. Plus, the added honey gives everything a nice flavor.

Both of the flavors that we received for this review are fantastic! We really couldn’t choose a favorite as they were equally delicious and slightly unique in their own way. If you’re a pure & unfiltered honey lover, you’re really going to enjoy the honeys offered by Local Hive.

The holidays are coming and I think they would make a great holiday gift. You could buy some herbal tea, a tea cup and one of the honey’s to give as a gift. If you plan on doing any holiday baking…pick up some of this honey to add to your favorite holiday recipes. Delicious!
