Make Bar Soap Usable Again with SoapStandle

Make Bar Soap Usable Again with SoapStandleIt may not be the biggest problem in my life, but I really dislike the wet goopy mess that a bar of soap can turn into. SoapStandle to the rescue! “Standle” means that it’s both soap stand and soap handle, solving the problem of soap goo and providing a grip for a slippery bar of wet soap. Where has this innovative product been all my life?

The SoapStandle’s design is both simple and ingenious. It attaches firmly to a bar of soap, then when the soap is set down on the SoapStandle, air can circulate all around the soap so it can thoroughly dry on all sides. No more gloppy soap! As a bonus, the SoapStandle allows for a way to hold onto that bar of soap in the shower so it won’t slip out of your hand. No more groping around the shower floor for dropped soap!

SoapStandles come in a two-pack, so in addition to the bar of soap in your shower, you can replace the bottle of liquid soap on the side of your sink with a bar of soap attached to the second SoapStandle. And because the soap doesn’t sit in a pool of water and form all that goo, each bar of soap actually lasts longer, saving you money.

My recommendation is that when you’re choosing bar soap to use with your SoapStandle, make sure you get a rectangular bar of soap with flat surfaces rather than curves. That way, all of the tines of the SoapStandle can be inserted into the soap so it will be firmly attached and you’ll get the full benefit of both the “stand” and “handle” aspects of the SoapStandle.

Here’s a thought: If you’re looking for unusual stocking stuffers, consider tucking a pack of SoapStandles into that stocking. It’s a gift that will be used year-round, and the recipient will be grateful to you for saving them from the dreaded soap goo.

You can feel good about buying USA-made SoapStandles, too. The company believes so strongly in the importance of handwashing that they donate a SoapStandle for every one they sell. Here’s what they say about their One-for-One Outreach Program: “Working directly with agencies in areas with scarce resources, SoapStandle’s goal is to promote safer hygiene practices. Our hope is that the convenience of SoapStandle may encourage hand-washing in parts of the world where it is currently neglected.”

You can buy SoapStandles directly at the company’s website, or look for them at Amazon. While you’re at the SoapStandle website, you can read all about the benefits of bar soap as opposed to liquid soap.
