Pereg Everything but the Bagel Seasoning

As you might guess from its name, Everything But The Bagel is a blend of all the flavors you’d find in an everything bagel: Garlic, onion, black sesame seeds, white sesame seeds, poppy seeds, and salt. It’s awesome!

The first thing I did with it was the obvious—I mixed it with cream cheese, making the perfect spread for a plain bagel. It took that sad, plain old bagel and turned it into an everything flavor bomb. For that single purpose alone, Everything But The Bagel has earned its place on my spice shelf.

There’s a reason everything bagels are so popular, and Everything But The Bagel spice mix enables me to take that special flavor beyond bagels. The possibilities are endless! Next up, I think I’m going to try shaking some onto popcorn. Pereg’s suggestions for this blend include mixing it into hummus (yes, please!) or adding it to scrambled eggs or a turkey sandwich. If you think about it for a minute, I’m sure you’ll come up with some ideas for your favorite foods that would benefit from the addition of Everything But The Bagel, as well.

Pereg Natural Foods was established back in 1906, producing over 60 pure, natural spices and spice blends. I, for one, am glad that they’re still working to create new spice mixes and other natural products for modern tastes, and Everything But The Bagel spice mix is a great example of that. The New Jersey-based company’s products are all kosher certified and are dairy- and lactose-free, with no additives or preservatives.

Look for Pereg products at your local retailer, or purchase them directly at Pereg’s website. While browsing there, don’t miss the recipe section, where you’re sure to find some inspiration. Visit Pereg on Facebook, too, for up-to-date information on their products, giveaways, recipes, and more.
