Models include such real-life species as the Maniola Jurtino, or Meadow Brown. You’ll also find a butterfly bursting from its cocoon, a caterpillar, an envelope with a butterfly, and other imaginative possibilities. Each project is graded according to difficulty.

At the very beginning of the book you’ll find the “Contents” section which lists each butterfly project in the book and along with the listing you’ll find the level of difficulty. The Majority of the projects in the book are rated a level 1 or 2, so a great book for beginners…but yet there are a few more difficult projects in the book for those with experience.

The author does a really great job at giving you step-by-step directions in a way that everyone can understand. Really easy to follow along as you make your project. The diagrams walk you through each fold in a clear and precise manner. You can use the color and/or printed paper that the author recommends or come up with your own colorful & printed paper that you personally like.

I think this is a really fun book! I can see the finished Origami Butterflies being used on your scrapbooking layouts, to embellish your homemade greeting cards, packages, turned into paper holiday ornaments, used to decorate banners and all kinds of different things! Definitely fun projects to make, especially over the colder season when we’re all spending more time indoors.
