I’m a big believer is buying my family’s foods from direct farms, farmer’s markets, fruit orchards, local butchers, etc. What I don’t buy, I personally grow in our backyard gardens. The food that you buy direct is always better and healthier for you. It’s fresh and the quality just can’t be beat.

Let me introduce you to Lane Southern Orchards based out of the great state of Georgia. This company specializes in bringing you farm to table foods that are delicious and affordable. Until this review, I had never heard of them and totally stumbled upon them by accident. I was looking online for a source for peach butter and pumpkin butter and found them. Let’s just say this…I’ll be a customer for life!
Lane Southern Orchards sells pecans, fruit butters, country syrups, preserves, jams, jelly, ciders, salsas, jarred peaches, gourmet breads and more! You can visit their farm in Georgia (for locals) or shop online. They offer FREE shipping on every order, every day! Yes, you read that right…FREE shipping!
For this foodie feature we received 4 complimentary products to try out for all of you. Each product was just as delicious as the next!
Let’s start with the Cinnamon Pecan Bread and the Peach Bread. These are large loaves of bread that can be frozen for up to 6 months if desired. However, as soon as you taste one of these breads…it will be gone. Literally GONE.
We love making a big breakfast on the weekends for the family and we decided to use some of our Cinnamon Pecan Bread and some of our Peach Bread to make French Toast. We sliced it down, dipped it into our batter and simmered it over medium heat in a frying pan with some butter. Within minutes, our gourmet French Toast was done.
Oh my gosh..this was the best French Toast that we’ve ever had! Seriously, every restaurant and B&B in the country needs to buy these breads and make their French Toast using it (their guests would appreciate it). You don’t need to add any spices or anything to it. The flavoring is already done! Each one tasted delicious and I can’t pick a favorite, because they were equally good! I would and I will be buying both. Don’t like French toast? Don’t worry, they’re absolutely fantastic all on their own too!
We received a jar of the Medium Peach Salsa from Lane Southern Orchards which we served a few night’s ago during our family movie night. One of the things I appreciated about this salsa is that it was NOT overly-spicy nor hot. It’s a medium salsa, just like the label says. It’s mild enough that the entire family can enjoy it and has the perfect blend of ingredients. It’s flavorful and totally satisfies your cravings for a delicious salsa. We love salsa and always have salsa here in our home. This is one of the BEST ones that we’ve ever had! That jar was quickly demolished by the family.
One thing that I really wanted to try was their Pumpkin Butter and I’m so happy that they sent us a jar to try. Last year while staying at a B&B we had our first taste of Pumpkin Butter, but haven’t been able to find a source locally for it. Well, we now have our source thanks to Lane Southern Orchards! This Pumpkin Butter is incredible! You can slather it onto your French Toast, onto toast, a toasted bagel, English Muffin, onto a slice of artisan bread, etc. My husband even spooned some of it into his oatmeal and enjoyed it that way too! If you love fruit butters, you’re absolutely going to LOVE their Pumpkin Butter!!!
