Good Friday – Remembering the Real Reason for the Season

The CrossToday is Good Friday, April 14th 2017. It’s the Friday before Easter and I know many people have off work, children have the day off school and many of us are working on our last-minute Easter arrangements. It’s a busy time!

With that said, I hope that Christians everywhere take a few minutes out of their busy day to remember the real reason for Good Friday and the Easter holiday. It’s a great time to reflect and a nice way to spend time with our beloved family members and friends.

Over the holiday weekend we’ll be keeping things “light” here on the Two Classy Chics blog, so that our writers & contributors can spend some valuable time with their families. Our few blog posts are written and will auto-publish to the blog. It may take a few hours for them to hit social media, so make sure you check the blog for current updates.

We hope everyone has a nice 3-day holiday weekend with their families. Anything special going on at your house? Traveling? Hosting a holiday dinner? Attending church?

  1. Quiet weekend with the family this Easter. A neighborhood Easter egg hunt for the kids this morning and then maybe a walk around the park. We are going to have everyone bring an appetizer for a light lunch.

I am going to my son’s house to spend time with him and his family ( which includes my twin grandsons). I have been cooking almost all day to bring food there for us to enjoy after church.

We have kept pretty quiet this weekend. We actually have so many things to do around the house, that we have been busy doing it since the weather is decent. Also hubby is feeling pretty good, so he has been tinkering and getting things done which iis good. We dont have a big family anymore, so no Easter dinner but we reflect on the reason for the Holiday. No Easter bunnies, but rather the sacrifice made.

I hope you and all the folks here on the blog enjoy time with family!
