The Beautiful Niagara Falls State Park

Niagara Falls State Park in New YorkLast year my husband and I had the pleasure of visiting Niagara Falls which is the #1 honeymoon destination on the east coast. For those of you who don’t live in the United States, Niagara Falls is located in upstate New York.

Last summer I shared a few photos here on the blog from our trip and today, I wanted to share one more. This particular photo is totally different than the previous ones because it’s taken from a different angle and while we were out on a boat.

It’s not as crisp & clear as my other photos, because I was protecting my expensive camera from the mist and water that was in the air. However, I like this photo because you can see the rocky cliff, the falls pouring down it and one of the bridges in the distance. The bridge looks closer than what it really is.

Niagara Falls in New York - State Park

It’s amazing how lush and green the entire area is during the month of June when this photograph was taken. If you’re looking to avoid the big crowds, you’ll want to avoid traveling there during the latter half of May, June, July and August…which is their busy tourist season. They were PACKED the 5 days we were there!

The photograph above is the same photo and I turned that into a black and white photo (removed the color) and I think it looks even more interesting without the color.

How many of you have visited Niagara Falls State Park before? Did you enjoy your visit? If you’ve never visited the park, is it a place on your travel bucket list? I’ve been there 4 times in my lifetime and I never get bored visiting it! If I could afford it and if I could have a lot of time off work, trust me, I would probably visit yearly!

My husband & I went up to Niagara Falls in the winter. It is very pretty. You have to watch the mist because it turns to ice.

  2. I have never been to Niagra Falls but would love one day to see it. I was reading recently the falls have been ‘moving’ for some time and one day they may look entirely different! It was an interesting show. I always like to see pictures of the falls, they always look so majestic!

We haven’t visited Niagara Falls in years and would love to go there again. Your photos remind me how beautiful it is to visit this state park.

  4. Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures. I went here when I was little and I really can’t remember it but we have pictures. I would so love to visit here as an adult.

Beautiful pictures! I’ve always wanted to see Niagara Falls. All waterfalls are beautiful, but Niagara Falls just takes it up a notch, lol.
