Turn Bathtime into Enriching Moments of Exploration with Otteroo

February 3, 2016 by Jenelle

Otteroo Floatie for BabiesI’m the mother to a precious 4 1/2 month old little boy and bathtime hasn’t always been easy. For the first 2 months of his life…he hated bathtime and would scream the entire time. Slowly, he got more used to it and now that we have Otteroo, he loves it!

Otteroo is a bath floatie for babies ages 8 weeks and up. It’s an inflatable floatie that turns bathtime into an enriching moment of exploration. Infants will experience independence through the water-boosted ability to move around more freely. In addition, the warm water activity helps to promote regular eating and sleeping patterns with your child. The Otteroo is pediatrician approved and baby tested!

Otteroo Floatie for Babies

Newborn infants are naturally comfortable in a watery floating environment and when you use Otteroo it helps babies make a smoother transition from mommy’s tummy to bath and to pool. Babies discover their arms and legs and become aware of how their body movements impact their immediate surroundings. In addition, babies build muscle-strength and coordination from an early age.

The Otteroo is for babies ages 8 weeks and up. You can use it with any child up to 35 lbs. in weight, so it will grow with your child. You can use it in the bathtub and/or use it in the pool. For now, we’ve been using it in the tub but once my parents open up their pool for the season, Prince Jax will be using it in there too.

One of the things I love about the Otteroo is that it’s an inflatable and deflatable floatie and comes with it’s own storage bag. When it’s not in use…we can deflate it or when we travel or Prince Jax goes over to my mom’s house…I can deflate it and send it over there for her to use with him. It’s light-weight and takes up very little storage space.

Next, it’s really easy-to-use! Simply inflate it and put your child into it. They have a really cool short video on their site that shows how this is done and shows a baby using it. I highly recommend you check out their video on their home page which will really help you to understand how it works.

Finally, Prince Jax loves having his arms and legs free to move around! He can now splash and kick during bathtime which gives him some good physical activity to help strengthen up his muscles. The mobility he gets (even in the bathtub) is incredible and he loves being in this instead of his plastic baby bathtub which offers him no mobility movement at all.

As a parent, I absolutely LOVE the Otteroo and I can’t wait to try it out with Prince Jax in my parent’s swimming pool this summer. I think this item makes a great baby shower gift, so if you know an expecting parent-to-be, this is one gift that would certainly be appreciated.

This product is so smart. I would love to get this for some upcoming baby showers. I love that you can use it in the bathtub or in the swimming pool. Thanks for sharing this one. I love to find products like this that no one has really heard of yet.
