Stock Your Pantry with Healthy Foods

Healthy Foods for Your PantryDid you make a New Year’s Resolution to eat healthier this year? If so, it’s important to re-stock your pantry with products that are actually good for you! By switching out the products now, you’ll avoid temptation to use the products that you shouldn’t.

We are now almost into February and sticking to those New Year’s Resolutions is tough. Here are some of the products that we have now added to our own pantry at home.

coco joy water

Add Extra Flavor with Coconut Water
Sometimes regular water tends to become bland once consumed too often. Coconut water provides the same great benefits but with a delicious flavor. Coco Joy coconut water contains natural electrolytes for daily hydration and contains no added sugar and no preservatives. It’s also gluten, lactose and dairy free. Coco Joy makes a convenient can that’s perfect for traveling or on-the-go… even though it tastes like you’re drinking it straight out of a coconut.

AquaBall Water for Kids

Reduce Kid’s Sugar Intake with Naturally Flavored Water
Kid’s drinks tend to be full of sugar and artificial flavors (because kids love the taste). AquaBall is a sugar-free, naturally flavored water sure to satisfy your child’s sweet tooth the healthy way. Available in four flavors, Fruit Punch, Orange, Berry Frost and Grape, AquaBall features fan favorite characters from Disney’s Frozen, Disney Princesses, Marvel Avengers, and Disney Classic Characters. AquaBall also contains essential B & C vitamins, natural fruit flavors, and is sweetened with Stevia instead of artificial sweeteners.

Vicki's Granola

Choose Healthier Snack Options
Viki’s Granola is made with 100% all natural ingredients, gluten-free and baked with love. Unlike other granolas with hard clusters, Viki’s has a fresh, soft, chewy texture and no artificial aftertaste. Available in five delicious flavors, Viki’s Granola is great to enjoy on its own or with your favorite yogurt and are even available in select flavors in snack packs, perfect for when you are on-the-go.

Carrington Farm Coconut Oil

Cook With Coconut Oil for Added Health Benefits
Available in Sriracha, Rosemary, Garlic and Unflavored, Carrington Farms Liquid Coconut Cooking Oils are perfect for cooking, sautéing, and baking. As a great alternative to traditional oils such as vegetable, olive, canola, and corn oil, Liquid Coconut Oil is naturally rich in Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT) which is efficiently utilized by the body for energy production, helps aid in calorie burning, and contains 4x more MCT’s than traditional virgin coconut oil. It even has a higher heat point than traditional olive oils.

Celsius Beverages

Ditch the Soda for a Healthier Cola Alternative
If it’s the cola flavor you crave, you can still get your fix in a healthier fashion. Stripped of all the sugars, preservatives, high fructose corn syrup, and artificial colors and flavors, some companies have created smarter carbonated drink options. Celsius for instance, makes a great tasting ready-to-drink Cola flavor that provides a healthy boost in energy without all the added calories, and still provides that Cola flavor everyone loves.

Colmans Dry Mustard in Tin

Condiments Count Too
So many popular condiments are loaded with fat, calories, sugar, and artificial ingredients, but there is one that stands outside of those pantry stuffers – Mustard. While Colman’s Mustard is certainly a great topper to sandwiches and hot dogs, it also makes a wonderful “secret ingredient,” adding a zesty flavor to many mealtime favorites including roasts, veggies, mac & cheese, even cocktails and dessert. Colman’s Mustard comes in two varieties, Prepared and Dried.

As you can see, all of the products listed above are healthier options! We added them all to our pantry at home and have been enjoying them the past few weeks! My grand daughter loves AquaBall naturally flavored water. It tastes great and she enjoys the fun packaging featuring Disney characters.

Celsius Flavored Cola

My mother has been drinking the Celsius cola-flavor and loves that they taste great and are not loaded with all of the nasty stuff. They are ready-to-drink and she loves to drink them straight from a chilled can.

We’ve been using the Coco Joy when we make fruit smoothies and fruit slushies. It adds a nice flavoring to the beverage without making it all watery. The Viki’s Granola in the Blueberry flavor is perfect for on-the-go snacking or add some to your hot oatmeal, hot cereal or as a yogurt or ice cream topping. We love that granola!

Healthy Pantry Swaps

I’ve been learning how to cook with Coconut Oil thanks to Carrington Farms. Coconut oil is definitely a healthier option compared to other cooking oils out in the marketplace. We’ve been using it when we make fried potatoes, stir-fry veggies and I’ve used it in 2 different quick bread recipes and obtained amazing results! I’m looking forward to using this cooking oil even more!

Finally, Colman’s Mustard is my preferred mustard brand. I’m always stocked on their liquid and dry mustard and use them all of the time! It’s great as a condiment when you make sandwiches or in various recipes that call for mustard. I love using it when I make deviled eggs or when I make a good homemade honey mustard dipping sauce.

It’s so sad that it costs more to eat healthy than it does to live on junk food. Honestly, I think I need to start growing my own garden like my Grandparents did.

  2. Jo-Ann Brightman says

I am interested in healthier options. I have the mustard, Viki’s Granola and coconut water. Ihave never heard of Celsius soda. My husband drinks a lot of diet soda so I would love a healthier option.

  3. My rule is: If it’s bad for you to eat: DON’T BRING IT HOME! I do try to keep healthy things in my pantry (and fridge). I gave up pop several years ago.
