Simple Pineapple Cobbler Recipe

July 16, 2015 by Classystaff

There is nothing better than making a fast and easy dessert at home. It saves a ton of money over store bought or restaurant desserts and it tastes so much better too! Easy and simple cobbler recipes are a great way to add a bit of sweet into your home cooked meals. You get all of the fresh flavor of the fruit and you can whip one up in just a few minutes. We are not big sweet eaters in our house, but once in a while it is good to treat yourself. My hubby has become a pro at making cobblers and this one uses pineapple instead of the traditional peach (which we love too!) for a tasty twist. So good!

While you’re here, check out our easy-to-make Pineapple Sweet Bread Recipe too! It’s really moist and delicious!

Ingredients:

1 cup milk
1 cup self rising flour or add 2 tsp baking powder to regular flour
1 cup granulated sugar
3 16 oz cans crushed or chunk pineapple in juice – reserve liquid from 1 can
1 stick of butter
2 tbsp. brown sugar (optional)

Directions:
In a medium bowl, mix together your flour and sugar. Add the reserved fruit liquid and milk. Then whisk until a pancake type batter. In a 9×13 baking dish, melt your butter and then add your batter. Top with the fruit. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. 5 minutes before it is done, sprinkle the top with a bit of brown sugar.

Allow to cool for a bit. Serve warm with your favorite side. Enjoy!

I have never tried a cobbler with pineapple. Now that I have your hubby’s recipe I shall try it whe it isn’t so hot. I would add cinnamon to the batter and a little lemon rind to,the pineapple.

I love pineapple! I use it in everything, from desserts to rice dishes, but I don’t think I’ve ever tried a cobbler with pineapple! Definitely, I’ll try this.

Pinning this…awesome and different. I love easy recipes. My husband loves peach cobbler and pineapples. This is a great combination of all. Never thought of it, but I bet he will love it.

Much easier than pineapple upside down cake. Easy and tasty.

Yum! This looks delicious, I’d love to give it a try. The only pineapple dessert that I have ever tried is pineapple upside down cake. This is definitely something different, thank you for sharing this recipe.
