6 Tips to Help Your Lipstick Last LongerA beautiful lipstick can make a difference to your entire beauty look when you choose the right color. Lipstick can perk up your face in an instant but sometimes getting it to last for more than an hour is difficult. If you have problems with your lipstick not lasting long, check out these tips for help!

6 Tips to Help Your Lipstick Last Longer

* Exfoliate Your Lips – Lips are skin too! Get rid of the dead, dry skin and once a week exfoliate your lips softly.

* Use a lip liner – A pencil lip liner that is about the same color or slightly lighter than your lipstick will prevent the lipstick from bleeding.

* Use a Lip Primer – Using a lip primer will help keep the lipstick intact and lasting a lot longer. You can use the lip liner to simply fill in the lips, use your foundation to cover your lips or buy a specialty primer.

* Use quality lipsticks – A cheap lipstick may not have the staying power or depth of color to last. Step up to a quality brand and choose a lipstick that has a lot of pigment for a longer lasting wear.

* Layer Your Lipstick – Applying layers will help with the wear. First apply your lipstick then blot and reapply.

* Cut down excessive licking or chewing on your lips – If you tend to chew on your lips watch how often you do so. That will remove your lipstick quickly.

Using these 6 tips is going to help reduce the wear and tear on your lipstick and help make it last longer. Add a pretty smile and your enjoy your beautiful face!

These are excellent tips on how to make the lipstick last longer and I really need to use them. I chew or lick my lips too much . I shall have to try a lip primer and reapply the lipstick.

I don’t wear lipstick much anymore. More gloss with a lip pencil and that’s about it. Always sunscreen though, with the lip balms.

Lipstick can be hard o figure out. Often the stains are drying but creamier lipsticks smudge or disappear. Great ways to combat that. Exfoliating can b a simple rough washcloth and aloe Vera o nd I e cube….carefully applied. I hadn’t thought about putting foundation on your lis. Great idea!

I wear lipstick when I perform with my chorus and it only needs to last a couple of hours.

I have never ever tried a lip primer before and now I have to check it out thanks for some really great tips here. I agree that the cheap lipstick is no good and that lip liners really do work well.
