Show Your #DisneySide – Our Disney @Home Celebration Party

Our Disney @Home Celebration PartyWhen my daughter was a little girl she was really into anything that had to do with Disney. Back in those days, we had collected various Disney movies like: The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella and others. Now that she is a mother herself, she has been passing on the “love” of anything Disney to my grand daughter.

Gianna loves Disney, especially anything that has to do with any of the Disney Princesses. She owns at least 25 Disney movies, has a Disney princess theme’d bedroom, numerous Princess Barbie Dolls and all kinds of other things. For this reason alone, Jenelle and I jumped at the chance to host a #DisneySide party in their home.

To kick off our party we were sent a lot of party goodies pack inside a piece of American Tourister Luggage. These party goods included: Disney theme’d streamers, table coverings, plates, cups, napkins, balloons, Disney Bingo Game, stickers, temporary tattoos, boxes of Craisins and other items.

We could select any Disney theme for our party but decided to go with the Classic Disney – Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse since we were having both boys and little girls attend our party.

We ordered 4 large pizzas, breadsticks, cooked up hotdogs, had Mickey Mouse cupcakes, cookies, potato chips, popcorn and juice boxes for the children to enjoy. After lunch, we all sat down to watch a DVD that came along in my DisneySide kit which talked about all of the things that Disney has to offer. Some of the parents who were in attendance had been to Disney before and shared their memories & knowledge with the group which was really fun! Some of the parents even brought along photographs from previous vacations. That was cool to see!

After our discussion, we sat down with the kids for some arts and crafts fun! We make Mickey Mouse lollipop covers from black cardstock paper and ribbon. The kids then got busy drawing and coloring some of their favorite vacation memories. The one 9 year at the party drew a really cool beach scene from their trip to Florida last year.

For fun…we played a Disney Trivia Game and a Disney Bingo Game and awarded out some fun prizes like Disney puzzles, activity books, candy and other goodies that I picked up at one of our local stores. The kids really enjoyed playing the games and the adults had fun laughing at some of the kids answers! It was really funny, but you had to be there to understand! hahaha!

After the games we put on a Disney Movie ~ The Little Mermaid and the kids sat and watched that. I was pretty surprised that some of them had never seen this beautiful Disney classic!

Once the movie was done, they had a lot of “energy” to still burn so we played some Disney music and some of them got up to dance and others put on a talent show and were singing to us. Several of the kids wore Disney theme’d shirts to the party and looked super cute!

Our Disney @Home Celebration Party

Overall, everyone had a great time showing their #DisneySide and learning more about Disney World at our little afternoon get-together. Matter of fact, the parents and kids want to do it again in the near future!

We really had a great time at our little Disney party and encourage all of you to create your own Disney party when the need arises.
