Happy Valentine’s Day

Good Morning Everyone! Happy Valentine’s Day! Well, we are still snowed in here and another 2 to 5″ of snow is coming in here early tomorrow morning. All of this snow is really starting to depress me! It has totally ruined our romantic travel plans for this weekend, so next month we will be going away for the weekend to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Better late, than never.

We got hammered yesterday with 12.8″ of new snow on top of the old snow and ice that we already had. Our snow is so deep that we can’t even find our outdoor solar lights and most of our bushes are completely smothered. Heck, I can barely see the top of my bird bath anymore. Below is the scene out my front door yesterday, you can barely see my two azalea bushes! Boo! The wind was howling all last night so it is even worse today with snow drifts. I am not sure where the 2-5″ coming tomorrow is even going to go. This is a nightmare and I am sick of it!!!

Last night we had a few giveaways close and we do have a few winners to announce this morning. After validating entries, Random.org is used to randomly select our winners. All winners are notified via email and have 48 hours to respond to our email or a new winner will be selected. We will NOT hunt you down and chase you around. It is your job to check your email!!!

Winner The Pickled Store – Rebecca Peters
Winner Free Birds DVD – Heather Paddy
Winner Ring Pops – Bruce Hammersmith

Congratulations to all three of the lucky winners this morning! I hope you all have a great weekend. I am sure we will be busy digging ourselves out!

    Congratulations to the 3 winners
Although you couldn’t go away this weekend I am sure you will enjoy your stay next month.
We don’t get quite as much snow as you do, but I think everyone her on the east coast is getting tired of this snow. I love the way it looks , but not shoveling it not the ice that sometimes accompanies it.

  2. I don’t know, but I love the snow! Then again, I don’t have to commute so it doesn’t interfere with my life – I can just sit back and enjoy its beauty.

  3. Congrats to the winners!
    Happy Valentine’s Day.
Too much snow….. I won’t give you the Denver weather report, would be too much for you to hear.

  4. Wow–you really have been getting hammered this winter. It’s been bad here in Maine, but not as bad as Pennsylvania. I’ve been seeing news reports of the pile-up on the highway outside of Philadelphia–thank goodness no one was killed.

Hang in there! At least you’ve got your nice weekend away to look forward to.

Happy Valentine’s Day and congratulations to the winners.
I feel for you. So much snow for so long is rough.
The last winter that I lived in Missouri we had several feel of snow on the ground for several months and it was part of my reasoning for moving to Texas. We had a nasty long winter too, but nothing quite like you are going through.
    It has to end sometime…

  6. Happy Valentine’s Day! You sure have tons of snow, and it is so hard to drive and get out in this! I hope you still have a nice day today, and you get out soon. Stay safe and warm!
