Favorite Ways to Enjoy a Cup of Hot Cocoa

Cup of Hot CocoaGood morning everyone! Brrrr! We got clobbered with more snow over the weekend and baby…its cold outside this morning! I am dreading going out later in this frigid weather and having high temps of 29 degrees doesn’t appeal to me at all. Nope, not at all!

Today’s Topic: I am a HUGE hot cocoa (hot chocolate) drinker and drink it year round. When I drink a good mug of hot cocoa I sometimes drink it plain but most times I add other goodies to it. I like adding marshmallows for sure! I also like to stir in some Hershey’s Kisses, Flavored Mini Marshmallows, Chocolate Shavings, etc. Sometimes I stir my hot chocolate with a peppermint stick or a cinnamon stick depending on my mood. I am really into those flavored hot chocolates with one of my fav’s being peanut butter hot cocoa followed closely behind by white chocolate hot cocoa. So, lets hear it…do you love hot cocoa and if so, how do you like to drink it?

I love hot chocolate or cocoa, but not as much as you seem to love it. I like it very chocolately or with cinnamon, cardamon or peppermint. I didn’t know that there was a peanut butter flavor.

I’ve never heard of peanut butter, but I now am suddenly craving it. 🙂 I love hot chocolate, especially this time of year. It’s wonderful to have a fire going and relax with a good cup of hot cocoa. I typically like mine plain – of course, I want the rich dark chocolate variety. My daughter got me interested in peppermint hot cocoa, and it’s wonderful – both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions. We will often take a candy cane as a stirrer or sprinkle with cinnamon. My daughter branches out using Irish Cream, Caramel, or cherry flavorings. She’s done half hot cocoa/half coffee or added spiced rum. All are good. This year I am going to add Maple Crown. Enjoy!

  3. My husband is the cocoa drinker here and recently I found a butterscoth flavor he just slurps up! He works outside and when he comes in he will drink cup after cup!
