Stainless Steel Adult and Toddler Water Bottles

Stainless Steel Adult and Toddler Water Bottles

Pura Stainless Steel Bottles are genius!  I wish these were around when my teens were babies.  These bottles are practically indestructible, BPA- and lead-free, adorable, work with a variety of nipples, grow with kids, and come with a lifetime warranty.

I keep a bottle of water by my side.  A 32 oz. BPA-free bottle is handy on a regular basis because I helps me keep track of how much I’m drinking and guarantees I’ll reach for water before any other drinks.  It works better than refilling glasses or mugs all day and why should I change what’s working?  It seems I may need to change because BPA bottles may not be the safest option after all.  Studies in 2011 and 2012 suggest that containers including BPA plastic leach estrogenic chemicals.  I didn’t know about these studies when I bought stainless steel bottles for the kids to use I their school lunches.  I went with stainless because I figured they would hold up better to the battering the kids would put them through.  I wish I’d heard of Pura Stainless Steel Bottles then.  The kind peeps at Pura offered me bottles to try and I figured I’d give them a shot.  I’m hooked.

I tend to chug my water and love the wide mouth of the adult bottle.  I love that they’re available in several sizes and colors.  Prices fall in the $15.99 to $24.99 range.  That may seem high, but Pura offers a limited lifetime warranty on their bottles.  If it leaks, they replace it.  If you throw it off a cliff, run over it, or toss into a wood chipper, they won’t.  Love their sense of humor, too.

Adult-sized stainless steel bottles are nice and all, but Pura blew me away with their Pura Kiki line of infant and toddler stainless steel baby bottles.   I love the idea and think everyone one should give at least one as a shower gift.  I’m serious.  No plastic to leach harmful chemicals, no glass to chip, no lead, no BPA, no PVC, no phthalates, and almost any nipple fits.  If the wee one in question needs a specific nipple for whatever reason, it might not be a problem with a Pura bottle.  Avent Sport Spouts, Dr. Brown’s, ThinkBaby, Born Free, Pigeon, MAM, and UPIS nipples all fit perfectly.   And these bottles grow with the child.  As he gets older, switch the nipple and convert the bottle to a sippy cup.  There is no fear of breakage if she tosses it in a game of Bottle Pick Up.  All of the usual bottle accessories are available, too – silicone covers, sealing discs for travel, and sleeves to make the bottles easier for wee one to hold on to.

Eco-friendly, affordable, colorful, safe, and unbreakable Pura Stainless Steel Bottles are an excellent purchase.  I am in love with the idea of stainless steel baby bottles, don’t worry, hubby, I’m not making plans.   But I see a couple of these headed to my niece very soon.

Stainless steel is obviously durable and these are cute and grow with the child so that makes the expense more affordable. I also like ther colors andadifferent sizes.

  2. Stainless steel is my go to for bottles now and I’m glad that these are available. They look very durable and I like how they have some warranty, are eco-friendly and safe for washing. It’s great that they have them for toddlers and almost any kind of nipple will work on these. Little kiddos will be able to use them from a wee age until they grow out of them. Thanks for sharing your review! I will have to keep Pura bottles in mind next time I need a great water bottle.

Nice that these grow with the child. Better than traditional cups.
