Children and Their First Broken Bone

Children and Their First Broken Bone

Typically when I do my weekly Wednesday post, I usually feature something travel related. However, this week I decided to share something more personal. Back on the morning of June 26th, my daughter was carrying my grandson down the steps. They have a good many

Penn’s Cave and Wildlife Park

Penn’s Cave and Wildlife Park

We love being outdoors, so it’s only natural that we would love visiting Penn’s Cave and Wildlife Park in Centre Hall, Pennsylvania. If you’ve never visited Centre Hall, it sits about 15 minutes outside of State College in the northern part of Pennsylvania. Penn’s Cave

Morey’s Piers Beachfront Waterpark in Wildwood

Morey’s Piers Beachfront Waterpark in Wildwood

Waterpark Moreys Pier in WildwoodHow many of you enjoy visiting waterparks? I admit, I’m not a huge fan of them (hey, I in my late 40’s you know) but I will tag along if they family is going. Every time we do go, they always have a lot of fun.

When we are down at the beach house in Wildwood, we sometimes take the kids up to the waterpark on Morey’s Piers. This waterpark is the largest in the area and can get really crowded during the “in-peak” summertime season. Not only that, they do have expensive admission, unless you’re going during a special time at a special rate.

Waterpark Moreys Pier in Wildwood

You’ll find areas in the waterpark that are strictly for adults & older kids, areas for the entire family and areas that are for the little one’s to enjoy. If you have your little one splashing around in a kiddie area, you always want to be nearby and keep them within your sight.

If you’re going to play at the waterpark, I do suggest that you plan to stay the entire afternoon or at least 4 hours due to the cost. You’ll want to enjoy every dime that you’re spending. If you get hungry or thirsty, you can buy food and beverages there which are reasonably priced.

Waterpark Moreys Pier in Wildwood

This waterpark is located directly on the boardwalk and beach in Wildwood New Jersey and is the biggest & most popular waterpark in the area. You’ll find it directly on Morey’s Pier and as you’re walking up & down the Wildwood boardwalk, you can’t miss it!

This week for my “almost” Wordless Wednesday #Travel post, I’m including three photos that you can enjoy that I personally took. Do you enjoy visiting places like this?

Gardening: The Purple Bearded Iris

How many of you enjoy gardening? I know I do! About 4 1/2 years ago I planted a slew of Bearded Iris flower bulbs around our property. Some of them will bloom purple, blue/purple, peach or orange. I love the colors that you can find

Inflatable Zorb Balls – Wildwood Beach

Inflatable Zorb Balls – Wildwood Beach

Zorb Inflatable Balls in WildwoodHow many of you ever heard of inflatable Zorb Balls before? Well, I had never heard of them until last year when I saw them myself when we were down in Wildwood New Jersey.

As a brand new attraction right on the beach…beach go’ers can now enjoy the new inflatable Zorb Balls! They have adult sizes and smaller ones for the kids. You do have to pay a fee to enjoy them.

Since I wasn’t feeling well that day, I sat and watched my husband roll around inside one of the inflatable balls on the beach. Oh my gosh, he had so much fun doing this and he’s over 50 years old! Maybe I’ll try them this year, depending on how I feel when we are there. Knowing me though, I would probably get nauseous with all of that rolling around inside the ball!

If you’re looking for the Zorb Balls you’ll find this new attraction set up right on the beach beside one of Morey’s Amusement Piers. Hubby said if you’re going to do them for the first time, it’s best to go at a “non-crowded” time for the best experience for a newbie. He also said to do it on a good weather day, not on any days when the sand may be wet.

How many of you have ever tried this? If you have, did you like it?
