Western culture is known for many things, not the least of which is the cowboy style. Cowgirls too get a piece of the heritage of the west, and they of course benefit from cute, comfortable, and trend-setting styles. Western shirts, boots, hats, and other accessories are not just for cowhands anymore—they have come into the mainstream world of fashion.
A Shirt for Every Occasion
Historically, the clothes cowboys wore were designed to handle some of the toughest conditions and had to protect the wearer. They also had to be good looking enough to wear to a local shindig, since many people had but a few changes of clothes. The modern western shirt is distinctive since it has retained the old style, but more often than not, has a modern twist on the classic design. Western wear is a great choice for:

The button up cowgirl shirt is still a favorite within this little style niche, but there are dozens if not hundreds of different options and styles to choose from. Adding a bit of bling is always fun, and rhinestone studded shirts add a bit of glamour, while steel keeping the causal feel of the shirt. Pink plaid has become a staple in the world of women’s western clothing with hot colors, beautiful bleeds, and vibrant plaid designs. Pair these shirts with a chunky belt over top, tucked into skinny jeans, or buttoned over a denim jumper. Go completely western with a cowboy hat and boots, or tone back with shorts, sandals, and a bold costume necklace.

Perhaps one of the most desirable aspects of typical western wear is its comfort and high-quality construction. Many people still wear traditionally designed clothes to participate in rodeo events, but anyone can tap into this world of rugged, stylish, and authentic clothing.

My personal fashion style is definitely CASUAL. When I am home working or out running errands, something casual is what I wear. My clothing needs to look fashionable, but yet it needs to be completely comfortable.
When I shop for activewear, one of my “go-to” brands is Champion. I have been buying their line of leisure clothing for about 15 years if not longer. Matter of fact, I buy that brand for myself, my husband, daughter and grand daughter.
Now that summer is officially here, it was time to update my wardrobe with a few new pieces to honor the season. I was on the hunt for some new tank shirts and found the perfect addition to my summer wardrobe.
The Champion Authentic Women’s Striped Tank is available in 5 fun colors! It is made out of 50% cotton and 50% polyester, machine washable for easy care. The fabrication has a very soft hand to it and feels great against the body.
It is your classic styled racer back tank shirt in what I call a tunic length. I love the longer length to this shirt as I certainly hate all of the crop styles that a lot of the girls are wearing. I am modest and I don’t like things hanging out that shouldn’t be hanging out!
It is styled to be semi-fitted so it will hug the curves of your body and I love the striped pattern which is all of the rage this season. Frankly, I look better in strips than polka dots!
Tank shirts are a vital part to every woman’s wardrobe. During the summer season you can wear them alone or with another tank underneath them. (As shown in the photos, my daughter wore a contrasting colored tank underneath it, just like all of the young girls are doing). During the cooler months, you can wear tanks underneath a sweater, cardigan, jacket or vest. They are year-round essentials for your wardrobe!
Since receiving it, my daughter and I have both been wearing it! I am tired of sharing it with her, so I need to go out and get her a few of her own. In addition, they are really affordable pieces that you can pick up now and style them a variety of different ways. Matter of fact, I want more of these shirts too!
