We are now into the dog days of summer and temperatures continue to rise. On top of the sweltering hot heat, we have stifling humidity to deal with too! How does one keep cool & safe in all of this awful heat? Well, I’m going to tell you!
Hubby and I spend a LOT of time outdoors. We work on our flower gardens, veggie garden, yard work, etc. every week. On top of that, we are avid travelers and love to go camping, boating and hiking. Since we spend a lot of time outside, we needed a way to keep our bodies cooler.
Let me introduce you to some cool products that we recently had the opportunity to review.
The MISSION EnduraCool Cooling Towel is absolutely fantastic! When the towel is soaked in water, wrung out and snapped, the instant cooling technology is activated to chill the fabric’s surface temperature by up to 30 degrees. The user can then place the towel around their neck and the fabric will keep them cool, comfortable and dry. The towel comes in a variety of colors and patterns to suit everyone’s taste.
We’ve received two of these towels and have been using them constantly the past few weeks. They are reusable over & over again. Once you activate the towel with water…that coolness lasts for several hours. I like slinging it around my neck or over my shoulders. Hubby will toss his over his head when mowing the grass, wear it around his neck or tie it around his arm. These cooling towels are fantastic!!!
The MISSION Cooling Performance Hat is one of my favorite hats in the entire world! Mom and I are both avid walkers and walk with our mommy walking group at least three times a week. The hat is available in 4 different colors and has an adjustable band. It’s style like a classic baseball cap, only better!
Once the hat has been wet, it will stay cool for hours! In my own product testing, it lasts 3-4 hours when I’m out in 85 to 90 degree heat! It offers great protection from the harmful sun rays and is completely machine washable. I think it looks stylish and I love wearing it when we go out walking, hiking or when I’m outside doing yard work.
We also got one of the MISSION Reflective Cooling Headbands which my mother quickly snatched from me. These cooling headbands are available in several different colors and can be worn by men or women. Once it has been wet, it will drop about 30 degrees below average body temperature. It’s completely reusable over & over again.
My mom who is 68 years old can’t take the heat like she used to, so when we go out to do yard work, go hiking or walking with our mommy group, she wets the cooling headband and wears it. Matter of fact, I see her wearing it almost every day when we have to go outside in the heat. She loves that it helps her to stay cool and look fashionable at the same time!

We received a complimentary Basic Halftee in solid white and it features cap sleeves. I think the basic style is just perfect and will work under anything you may be wearing. It’s available in a wide range of colors too! It’s made out of a blend of breathable cotton & spandex and is super comfortable to wear.
It’s super stretchy so it will fit a wide variety of body shapes and has a non-slip comfortable band at the bottom that keeps it from riding up. One of the things I love about this style is it’s reversible neckline. You can wear it with the lower scoop neckline in the front or reverse it for the higher scoop neckline which is normally in the back. Basically, you’re getting 2-neckline looks in one! When it comes to sizing, follow their size chart and order true-to-size.
I absolutely LOVE this Halftee and been wearing it ever since I received it. Heck, my mother has even borrowed it from me a few times too! It’s really comfortable to wear and I love the coverage that it gives me when I wear lower neckline tops and I’m getting that trendy layering-look without all of the bulk! Plus, it launders like a dream!
