I have been wanting a new locket for a really long time. I didn’t want just any old design, I wanted one that was special and reflected my own personal style.
The company sent me the Nightingale Star Locket Necklace to review for all of you and it is absolutely gorgeous! I am a “coastal” girl so I look for jewelry that reminds me of the ocean. This particular one reminds me of an antique star fish and I just love it!
The locket is U.S.A. made and you can tell as soon as you see it that it is a high-quality piece. It has a brass base that has been silver-plated over the top. I love that it looks antique!
It measures 1 1/4″ in size and will hold two small photographs. The bale on the locket has two tiny set rhinestones and the background of the locket is in a sky blue or light blue ocean color. It hangs from a 20″ long chain which is the perfect fashionable length. The frame and backing of the locket is done in an all over flourish pattern, beautifully etched into the finish.
I just ordered reprints of two photos and once they arrive from the printer, I am going to be putting them inside this locket. One is of my husband and the other is of my adult daughter holding our grand baby. The three people that I love the most in this world! I love this locket and it is the prettiest one I have ever owned!

Valentine’s day is just around the corner and I’m looking forward to getting some sweet for Valentine’s Day. When it comes to chocolate candy…dark chocolate is my favorite although I’ll eat any good chocolate if it’s given to me. Notice the operative word “GOOD CHOCOLATE” not that crappy stuff you find in a discount store.
I’m really fond of truffles, chocolate covered cherries, chocolate dipped strawberries, dark chocolate candy bars (without nuts), peanut butter cups and I love a good piece of white chocolate (solid) please! I’m not fond of other type’s of candy like sour this or that, mints, bubble gum, etc. I’m a pure chocolate type of girl.
My husband always gets me a nice assortment of chocolate candy for Valentine’s Day. We have a locally-owned and operated candy store a few miles away. He always gets me a mixed box of truffles, a box of Jordans and a few peanut butter cups along with a dozen of white roses which I just love!!! We always try to support our small businesses that are locally-owned.
Now I do have to admit…I don’t eat all of that chocolate in a week. I like to enjoy it over time…so I like to put some of it into the freezer. Yes…most chocolates freeze well. Just make sure you package them up really good to prevent freezer burn. It’ll take me about 2 months to devour all of my Valentine’s Day chocolates and then I’ll be ready for Easter!!!
