Grandma’s Trunk Alphabet Game by Educational Insights

Grandma's Trunk Alphabet GameToday I would like to introduce you to the company called Educational Insights based out of Southern California. Educational Insights is the manufacturer of playful products with serious educational value, including subject-specific classroom products, teacher resources, educational toys, and games. Their products are designed by seasoned educators & parents who know that children love to learn when you make that learning experience fun!

When you visit the Educational Insights online web site you will find that it’s really easy to navigate. The web site has three tabbed categories which are the sections for Parents, Teachers and Classroom Jeopardy. Since I am a mother and grandmother…I could spend hours just browsing around their parent’s section of the web site.

My Review: The great folks over at Educational Insights sent me the “Grandma’s Trunk Alphabet Game” to review for all of you. This wonderful game is made for ages 5 and up and comes packaged in an adorable cardboard trunk! I love the graphics on it and I love how the game stores safely inside it.

There are 5 different ways that this game can be played and that is a great feature so that your kids will never get bored with it. (or us grandparents who play along with our grandkids). Kids will practice letter names, sounds, build memory skills, create stories and play fun riddle games.

When you open the darling little trunk you will find an instructional guide, 26 fun riddle cards and 26 alphabet picture cards (with upper and lower-case letters; color-coded red vowels and blue consonants on one side). You can play 5 different games with this set or make up your own games! (1) What Comes Next? game (2) Memory Time game (3) Letter Sequence Memory game (4) Grandma’s Riddles game (5) Grandma’s Adventures game.

My grand-wee-one is almost 3 years old so this game is a tad advanced for her (even though she is advanced for her age). We decided to use the game as alphabet flash cards to help teach her ABC’s and let me tell you…she is doing extremely well with that! Since the cards are also colorful they are great teaching tools to teach toddler’s their colors too. I love how everything packs inside the little trunk for storage. (it’s way too cute!). I am really looking forward to continuing to work with grand-wee-one using this set and I am sure as we go along she will learn even more so that we can actually play the 5 games. I really love this set!!!

You can purchase the Educational Insights Grandma’s Trunk Alphabet Game directly from Amazon for a really great price!

The Orb Factory Childrens Arts and Crafts Projects

The Orb Factory Childrens Arts and Crafts Projects

Orb Factory Kid's Craft KitsAs you know my granddaughter is the apple of my eye. She is growing up so quickly and is so smart. Aren’t they all? I was looking for some great educational and imaginative toys that she could play with and found this great company that produces arts and craft items for young kids of all ages. I knew she would love to play with this!

Orb Factory has been producing arts and craft kits for many years. Their best selling line of Sticky Mosaics® allow kids to peel & stick sparkling foam and jewel tiles to create Mosaics by Number® that are ready for display. Our My First Sticky Mosaics® line brings crafting to kids 3+ with Big Pieces for Little Fingers®. Their toys are both imaginative and educational, and have been used as learning tools in classrooms around the world.

My Review: I was sent 2 different kits to work on with my granddaughter. The first one is the Wild Horses Kit. This one was a tad over her level as it is for ages 5 and up. It has 3 different designs inside which is nice as these are extra large in design. It is very neat as it comes as a complete kit, everything you need is inside.

So basically what you do is pick a horse design you want to do and then read mosaic tile number on template design to help guide you on color placement on the design. Super simple, but very fun watching it develop into a picture. It reminds me of the old paint by number kits we had as a kid.

The second one is from the My First Mosaics Line and we got the Fairies for her. This kit is preschool level and the kit comes with 4 complete projects and over 700 pieces. You do not need to buy any thing else to complete these kits. This kit is for ages 3 and up and I would agree with the age range. The 4 designs are colorful and cute. I love the size of each design . Each Fairie when completed can be hung on the wall with plastic hanger supplied.

These kits are a great arts and craft project to do with kids, affordably priced and a quick and easy project that the kids are going to love to do! Everything you need is in the box which is a big plus! These would be great to keep on hand for snow days or when the little one is not feeling well and needs something to occupy their time. These are really easy to use mosaic art kits are fun for both boys and girls and would be a great arts and craft project to do at birthday party, slumber parties and
at scouting events and meetings,

The Orb Factory has many other kits like Jewelry Boxes, Castles and jewelry for the older kids. There are plenty of different fun and imaginative kits to choose from. I love the kits we got for my granddaughter and rate them an awesome score of 9 out of 10. I think your kids will love them too!

I would like to thank Orb Factory for participating with us. Your products are Awesome and the Two Classy Chics highly recommend them to our readers.
